Kadiyam Kavya: Congress Candidate for Warangal

Kadiyam Kavya to Contest from Warangal on Congress Ticket

Warangal: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has officially nominated Kadiyam Kavya, daughter of former Minister Kadiyam Srihari, as the Congress candidate for the Warangal parliamentary constituency. This announcement comes after both Srihari and Kavya switched their allegiance from the BRS party to Congress on Sunday.

Previously, Kavya was declared as the candidate for Warangal by the BRS party, but she decided to resign from her membership with them.

The move to field Kavya by Congress is seen as a strategic decision, leveraging the political experience and influence of her father, Srihari, in the region. With the election approaching, this development has added a new dynamic to the political landscape of Warangal.

Kavya’s entry into the electoral fray is expected to intensify the competition in the constituency, and her candidacy will be closely watched by both supporters and rivals alike.

Kaleshwaram Project: Controversy in India

Kaleshwaram Project: Boon or Boondoggle? Controversy Surrounds Ambitious Irrigation Scheme

The Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP) is a significant irrigation and water supply project in Telangana, India. However, it has been embroiled in controversy due to several factors.

One of the primary concerns is the project’s escalating costs, which have increased from an initial estimate of Rs 38,500 crore to Rs 1.20 lakh crore. The project’s financial viability has also been called into question, as the electricity cost of using massive pumps to lift water from the Godavari River is significantly high, making the cost of irrigation per acre very high.

Another issue is the potential environmental impact of the project, including the displacement of over 15,000 people and the long-term sustainability of the project due to its impact on the already stressed Godavari River.

Furthermore, there have been allegations of corruption and engineering lapses in the project, with the Bharatiya Rashtravadi Samanata Party (BRS) government in Telangana being accused of indulging in corruption and poor quality of project work. The BJP and Congress have also criticized the project, with the BJP calling for a CBI probe into the project and the Congress accusing the BRS government of corruption.

In response to these criticisms, the BRS government has maintained that the project is being built with the help of the same contractors that were engaged in the Pranahita Chevella project and has denied any wrongdoing.
In summary, the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project has been mired in controversy due to its escalating costs, potential environmental impact, allegations of corruption, and engineering lapses. These issues have led to political debates and protests, with various parties accusing the BRS government of mismanagement and corruption.

Telangana Group-I Recruitment: Notification by Feb 1st?

Will Congress miss the Group-I recruitment deadline? Unemployed youth anxiously await notification.

Hyderabad: As February 1st approaches, a question hangs heavy in the air: will the Congress government keep its promise and release the Group-I job notification for unemployed youth in Telangana? This promise, a central plank of their election campaign, is now raising anxiety among countless government job aspirants.

The Congress pledged to fill a staggering two lakh vacancies within their first year, and laid out a detailed job calendar, including Group-I notification on February 1st. Subsequent phases outlined Group-II notification in April and a “mega District Selection Committee” for teachers. Other categories like Group III, IV, engineers, officers, and lecturers also had specific dates attached.

However, a potential roadblock looms – the lack of clearance from the Finance Department. This crucial step allows recruiting agencies like TSPSC to proceed, followed by departments submitting the required details. Even with everything in place, a new notification typically takes a week to ten days to materialize.

This delay stands in stark contrast to the BRS government’s performance in 2022. Through TSPSC, they announced 26 notifications for over 17,000 vacancies across various categories. Meanwhile, the newly formed TSPSC team under DGP M Mahendar Reddy is reportedly reviewing processes and pending notifications.

Will the Congress government fulfill its promise and bring relief to eager job seekers? Or will February 1st bring disappointment, extending the wait for thousands of hopefuls? The next few days hold the answer, and eyes across Telangana are intently watching.

CSDP Survey Predicts BRS Victory in Telangana Elections

CSDP Survey Predicts BRS Victory in Telangana Elections

CSDP Survey, Telangana, India – A recent survey conducted by the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDP) has predicted a landslide victory for the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in the upcoming Telangana Legislative Assembly elections. The survey, which was conducted among a sample of 2,000 voters across all 119 Assembly constituencies in the state, found that the BRS is likely to win 83 seats, while the Indian National Congress (INC) is expected to win 27 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is projected to win just 2 seats, while the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) is expected to win 7 seats.

The survey found that the BRS is popular among all sections of society, including men, women, Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs). The party is also popular in all age groups, with strong support among young voters.

The BRS’s popularity is likely due to a number of factors, including the party’s strong record of governance, its focus on welfare schemes, and its charismatic leader, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. The INC, on the other hand, has been struggling to regain its lost ground in the state. The BJP has made some inroads in Telangana, but it is still a relatively minor player in the state’s political landscape. The MIM is expected to retain its stronghold in Hyderabad, the state capital.

The CSDP survey is the latest in a series of polls that have predicted a BRS victory in the Telangana elections. The party is widely expected to win a comfortable majority in the Assembly, and it is possible that it could even win an outright majority.

The Telangana Legislative Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in December 2023. The BRS is the clear favorite to win the elections, and the CSDP survey suggests that the party is likely to win a landslide victory.

Sanjay made this claim during an interview with a news channel. He said, “We don’t mind if you do not vote for a Congress candidate. But do not vote for BRS. What does it mean? Indirectly they are asking their men to support BJP.”

A video of Sanjay making this claim has gone viral on social media. Many people have raised questions about the credibility of the BJP and Congress.

One netizen, Nayini Anurag Reddy, posted on social media, “Karimnagar BJP candidate and former T-BJP head, Bandi Sanjay, explicitly states that Congress is internally supporting him.
