Unemployed Youth Protest for Exam Postponement

Unemployed Youth Protest for Postponement of Group and DSC Exams

In Hyderabad, many unemployed young people protested at Ashok Nagar X roads on Saturday. They were asking the Congress government to delay the Group – II and III exams, as well as the District Selection Committee (DSC) exam, which is for teacher vacancies.

The protesters held signs and chanted for the exams to be postponed, causing traffic jams in the area. They were concerned about having only one day between the DSC exam, which runs from July 18 to August 5, and the Group – II exam, scheduled for August 7 and 8. They questioned how they could prepare for the four papers of the Group – II services exam with just one day in between.

The job seekers want the government to include current vacancies in the Group – II and III exams and to hold these exams in December. They are asking for at least one month to prepare for the DSC exam. They believe that if the government addresses their concerns, students will study diligently for the next six months.

Telangana Group-I Recruitment: Notification by Feb 1st?

Will Congress miss the Group-I recruitment deadline? Unemployed youth anxiously await notification.

Hyderabad: As February 1st approaches, a question hangs heavy in the air: will the Congress government keep its promise and release the Group-I job notification for unemployed youth in Telangana? This promise, a central plank of their election campaign, is now raising anxiety among countless government job aspirants.

The Congress pledged to fill a staggering two lakh vacancies within their first year, and laid out a detailed job calendar, including Group-I notification on February 1st. Subsequent phases outlined Group-II notification in April and a “mega District Selection Committee” for teachers. Other categories like Group III, IV, engineers, officers, and lecturers also had specific dates attached.

However, a potential roadblock looms – the lack of clearance from the Finance Department. This crucial step allows recruiting agencies like TSPSC to proceed, followed by departments submitting the required details. Even with everything in place, a new notification typically takes a week to ten days to materialize.

This delay stands in stark contrast to the BRS government’s performance in 2022. Through TSPSC, they announced 26 notifications for over 17,000 vacancies across various categories. Meanwhile, the newly formed TSPSC team under DGP M Mahendar Reddy is reportedly reviewing processes and pending notifications.

Will the Congress government fulfill its promise and bring relief to eager job seekers? Or will February 1st bring disappointment, extending the wait for thousands of hopefuls? The next few days hold the answer, and eyes across Telangana are intently watching.
