Telangana: KTR urges people to say no to “Scamgress”

Telangana: Telangana’s BRS working president KTR has accused the Congress party of pumping crores of rupees into the state to purchase votes in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Sharing a news report about the seizure of around Rs 42 crore from a BJP corporator’s residence during Income Tax raids in Karnataka, KTR took to social media to call out the Congress party.

He accused the “intellectually bankrupt” Congress of pumping crores of rupees from Karnataka to purchase votes in Telangana, which is set to go to polls on December 3.

“Their PCC Cheap was the one who was caught on camera bribing in Vote for Note scam and now since this criminal is now leading the pack of Thugs, this was very much expected. Let’s say No to ‘Scamgress’ in TS,” he tweeted.

KTR’s comments come at a time when the Congress party is trying to make inroads in Telangana. The party has recently appointed A. Revanth Reddy as its state president. Reddy, a former TDP leader, is known for his aggressive style of politics.

The Telangana Assembly elections are expected to be a close contest between the ruling BRS and the BJP. The Congress party is hoping to play the role of a kingmaker in the elections.

Gambling Camps Flourish in Telangana Despite Ban

Despite a ban on gambling in Telangana, gambling camps are operating secretly in swanky apartments and air-conditioned rooms, especially on weekends and holidays. These camps are reportedly operated by certain persons who bribe top police officials every month.

To participate in the gambling at these camps, one has to pay somewhere between Rs 3,000 and 5,000. In addition to gambling, one will also get drinks and food, including premium liquor and non-vegetarian snacks.

Sources said that a realtor and an owner of fertilizers outlet of Kagaznagar reportedly operate the gambling camps in Kumram Bheem Asifabad and Mancherial districts. Some government teachers are also said to be organising these camps in Reddy Colony and other parts of Mancherial district centre.

The menace was exposed only when videos and photographs of these gambling camps were leaked and widely shared on social media platforms. However, no cases were registered and no action was taken against the offenders.

The police department is drawing flak for failing to curb the menace and for ‘indirectly’ encouraging it by accepting monthly bribes.

BRS Confident of Hat-trick Win in Telangana Assembly Elections

Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Friday called upon the BRS leaders and cadre to gear up to make the party win the consecutive third assembly election. He expressed confidence that the people would stand with the BRS to back its welfare schemes and development programmes.

Jagadish Reddy said that the BRS government’s welfare schemes, particularly those meant for farmers, were role models for the entire country. He also praised Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for making Telangana top in welfare and development in the country within a short span of time.

He said that Telangana had witnessed unprecedented development in the last nine years, which was more than what was achieved in the six decades of Congress rule. Before 2014, getting Rs 1 lakh for development in a village was a big task, but now villages were getting crores of rupees.

Jagadish Reddy said that the BRS government had opened up a new tradition of selecting the beneficiaries of welfare schemes irrespective of their political affiliation. Earlier, the ruling party cadre was also accorded priority in the selection of the beneficiaries, he reminded.

He asked the party cadre to mingle with the people and explain the welfare schemes of the BRS government to them. He also urged the BRS leaders to put aside their differences, if any, and strive for the victory of the party candidates in the ensuing elections.

Hyderabad Emerges as Second-Largest Office Space Supply Market in India

Hyderabad is poised to become the second-largest office space supply market in India, after Bengaluru, according to a report by CBRE South Asia Pvt. Ltd. The report, titled “Office Space Revolution,” reveals that office supply completions across the country’s top seven cities are projected to exceed a staggering 165 million square feet between 2023 and 2025, marking a substantial increase from the 142 million square feet recorded during the 2020-2022 period.

Hyderabad is expected to contribute 20% of the total new office space supply in India during this period, or 33 million square feet. This will make it the second-largest office space supply market in the country, after Bengaluru, which is projected to contribute 29%.

The report attributes the strong growth in Hyderabad’s office space supply to the city’s emergence as a major hub for the IT, BFSI, and pharmaceutical sectors. The city is also home to a number of multinational companies and startups.

The report also highlights the fact that Hyderabad is a relatively affordable city, with lower office space rents than other major Indian cities such as Bengaluru and Mumbai. This is making the city an increasingly attractive destination for businesses looking to expand or relocate their operations.

Kamareddy and Gajwel Wait for KCR’s Knockout

The next 50 days in Kamareddy and Gajwel will be a whirlwind of activity, as the BRS launches a campaign blitzkrieg to ensure a record majority for its candidate, K Chandrashekhar Rao.

The BJP is said to be preparing to field Huzurabad MLA Etala Rajender from Gajwel and Nizamabad MP Arvind Dharmapuri from Kamareddy. The party has reportedly assured the leaders that if they do not win, they will be given a chance to contest the Lok Sabha elections next year.

While the BJP may try to make some noise, the Congress is in a shambles. The party is silent, uncertain, and devoid of any fighting spirit. Eight candidates, including former MLA Narsa Reddy, have applied for tickets from Gajwel, and there is rampant infighting.

Though there was some talk that top Congress leaders like TPCC president A Revanth Reddy should contest from these constituencies to boost the cadre’s morale, leaders point out that the party’s big guns are busy securing for themselves constituencies where there wouldn’t be much of risk for them.

In conclusion, KCR is expected to win easily in both Kamareddy and Gajwel. The BJP may try to make some noise, but the Congress is in no position to challenge the BRS.
