Congress First Batch of Candidates: Telangana Lok Sabha

Congress Announces First Batch of Candidates for Lok-Sabha Elections in Telangana

In a recent development, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) has unveiled its initial lineup of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Telangana. This announcement marks a significant step in the party’s preparations for the crucial electoral battle ahead.

The first list comprises four candidates who will be representing the Congress in different constituencies across the state. Suresh Kumar Shetkar has been selected to contest from Zaheerabad, while Raghuveer Kunduru will be the party’s candidate from Nalgonda. Similarly, Balram Naik Porika and Challa Vamshichand Reddy have been nominated to represent the Congress in the Mahabubabad and Mahabubnagar constituencies respectively.

AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal made the announcement during a press conference held in New Delhi, shedding light on the party’s strategic choices for the upcoming elections.

However, prior to the official release of the list by the AICC, another list containing 36 candidates, including Sunitha Mahender Reddy for Chevella constituency, had been circulating on various social media platforms. This caused some initial confusion among party members and the public alike.

Interestingly, the candidature of Vamshichand Reddy from Mahabubnagar was initially put on hold, along with two candidates from Karnataka. Nevertheless, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had already declared Vamshichand’s candidature during a public gathering in Mahabubnagar earlier in the week.

This unveiling of candidates is just the beginning of what promises to be an intense electoral season in Telangana. With political parties gearing up for fierce competition, each candidate’s campaign and the party’s overall strategy will play a crucial role in shaping the outcome of the elections.

As the election fever grips the state, all eyes will be on the Congress and its contenders as they strive to secure victory and make their mark in the Lok Sabha elections.
