Warangal Played Pivotal Role in Telangana Movement, Says KCR

Warangal: Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) on Tuesday paid glowing tributes to Warangal, stating that it played a pivotal role in the Telangana movement. He addressed a public meeting in Warangal, where he highlighted the significance of the city in the struggle for a separate Telangana state.

“Warangal was the stage for many important moments in the Telangana movement,” KCR declared. The biggest public meeting was held here, and we achieved Telangana with the blessings of Goddess Bhadrakali.

KCR lauded Warangal’s rich historical heritage, referring to it as a land that witnessed the glory of the Kakatiya dynasty. This Orugallu stood as a witness to the thousand years of Telangana history,” he remarked.

The Chief Minister also spoke about the TRS government’s initiatives to honor Warangal’s legacy. We have given a lot of respect to Warangal,” he asserted. The Kakatiya art tower has been put in the state seal, and the program to repair the ponds has been named Mission Kakatiya. Thus, we have paid true tribute to the Kakatiya kings.”

KCR recalled the blessings of Telangana ideologues like Kaloji Narayana Rao and Prof. Jayashankar during the movement. He urged the people of Telangana to vote wisely in the upcoming assembly elections, emphasizing that their votes would shape the future of the state.

Taking a dig at the Congress party, KCR questioned their claims of progress under their rule. “Indira Gandhi’s rule was marked by anarchy and oppression,” he stated. Hundreds of Telangana activists were shot dead during the fight for a separate state. Do you want such a kingdom of Indiramma?” he asked the gathering.

KCR’s address in Warangal served as a reminder of the city’s significant role in Telangana’s political history and the TRS government’s efforts to preserve its cultural heritage.

KTR promises Tripartite Welfare Board for gig workers in Telangana

KTR promises Tripartite Welfare Board for gig workers in Telangana

Hyderabad: Stating that Hyderabad was Telangana’s economic engine, BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Monday promised to set up a Tripartite Welfare Board for the three lakh gig workers working in the State soon after returning to power on December 3.

The welfare board would include companies, the State government, and the gig workers. It would have a legal cell and if any company violated the contract, a gig worker could approach the legal cell that would be equipped with a team of lawyers from the government to initiate legal action, he said.

The BRS working president had an informal interaction with gig workers here and assured them all support from the State government for their welfare. A meeting would be convened in January with the companies to ensure that health insurance, provident funds, and ESI were provided for gig workers as it would ensure job security for them, he said.

“This apart, measures will be taken to discuss initiating a base salary model for gig workers, besides the payments they receive per delivery. It is the government’s responsibility to ensure your welfare,” Rama Rao told them.

Stressing that Hyderabad was like a mother, who takes care of all the people coming from different cities and States for employment and livelihood, he said Hyderabad was Telangana’s economic engine. Briefing them about the progress in the IT, Industries, and life sciences sectors in Hyderabad, the BRS working president stated during 2014, there were 3.23 lakh IT jobs with the numbers rising to nearly 10 lakh jobs in 2023. One IT job would create four indirect jobs in the service sector, he said.

During the interaction, a few workers explained how a few companies had removed incentives and had not increased fare prices. Responding positively to them, the BRS working president said that these companies operated not only in Telangana but also in other States and countries.

“A detailed meeting will be conducted with the companies to discuss all these issues and come up with positive solutions,” Rama Rao assured.

When a gig worker asked as to why the State government could not launch an app that would help deliver food ordering, cab booking, and other online services, he said there was one such app being operated in Kerala.

“We will study the app and its operations and explore all possibilities of replicating it in Telangana,” Rama Rao said.

Telangana to Quench Thirst with 24/7 Drinking Water Supply

Telangana government to supply drinking water to all households for round-the-clock in its third term

Preliminary works are already underway

Telangana is the only State in the country to provide drinking water connection to every household for just Re 1

The BRS government has brought about a qualitative change in the lives of people in Telangana

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has declared that the BRS government will supply drinking water to all households for round-the-clock in its third term.

Preliminary works are already underway. He stated that Telangana is the only State in the country, to provide drinking water connection to every household for just Re 1. He reminded that during its five decades of rule, the Congress could not even provide drinking water to people of Telangana.

CM urges people to observe the change under the BRS government

Participating in the Praja Ashirvada Sabha public meetings held at Karimnagar, Choppadandi, Huzurabad and Parkal constituencies on Friday, Chandrashekhar Rao urged people to observe the change under the BRS government. “Unlike the past, do you find people queueing up before public taps or travelling to far away places for water today? Is it not development?,” he asked.

He appealed to the voters to compare the 50-year Congress rule and the 10-year BRS regime, with regard to supply of power, drinking and irrigation water, education, health and other public infrastructure among other facilities. “People will realise the qualitative change brought by the BRS government in their lives,” he said. He stated that the 10 years of efforts by the BRS government would go in vain, if the Congress is elected.

Telangana becomes number one in paddy production

The Chief Minister said Telangana has become number one in paddy production as per the third advanced estimates released by the union government recently. Under the BRS regime, agriculture sector witnessed significant transformation due to multiple initiatives ranging from Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima to supply of free and quality water and power for agriculture. The BRS succeeded in improving the State economy and empower farmers to avoid depending on moneylenders for their crop investment, he said.

CM cautions against Congress

Chandrashekhar Rao pointed out that the Congress leaders – Rahul Gandhi, A Revanth Reddy, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and N Uttam Kumar Reddy, were all openly making statements that Rythu Bandhu was misuse of tax revenue, three hours power is sufficient for agriculture and the Dharani land registration system should be scrapped.

He cautioned that the Congress was trying to disrupt the development of the State and will destroy the State, upon getting elected to power.

Karimnagar to be developed into a massive tourist destination

Stating that the erstwhile Karimnagar district had two District Forest Officers due to its vast forest area, the BRS president said the previous Congress governments neglected felling of trees and exploitation of the forest resources, reducing the forests’ size over the years. “After the BRS came to power, we started planting of saplings and brought amendments to Municipal and Panchayat Raj Acts, creating a provision for allocation of 10 per cent green budget for afforestation. Today, Telangana’s green cover increased by seven per cent and resulted in good rains,” he said.

Chandrashekhar Rao said the BRS government focused on addressing societal needs and improving urban infrastructure, with Karimnagar standing as a testimony to its commitment towards development. He assured that the cable bridge on Manair River was only first step in Manair River Front project and Karimnagar will be developed into a massive tourist destination after its completion. He also vowed to develop Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple at Kondagattu with Rs 1,000 crore into a pilgrim destination.

BJP-Congress Secret Deal Exposed?

BJP national general secretary and party Karimnagar candidate for the upcoming assembly polls, Bandi Sanjay, has claimed that Congress has asked its supporters and cadres not to vote for BRS and support BJP candidate in Karimnagar.

Sanjay made this claim during an interview with a news channel. He said, “We don’t mind if you do not vote for a Congress candidate. But do not vote for BRS. What does it mean? Indirectly they are asking their men to support BJP.”

A video of Sanjay making this claim has gone viral on social media. Many people have raised questions about the credibility of the BJP and Congress.

One netizen, Nayini Anurag Reddy, posted on social media, “Karimnagar BJP candidate and former T-BJP head, Bandi Sanjay, explicitly states that Congress is internally supporting him. Congress has compromised and surrendered to BJP in key places. They have fielded weak candidates against Raja Singh, Arvind, Bandi Sanjay and many.”

Another netizen, Arjun, posted, “Congress is headed by a former RSS guy turning it into CongRSS. A TDP apprentice. So I’m not surprised by his statement.”

The BJP and Congress have been accused of having a secret understanding for many years. This claim by Sanjay has further fueled these allegations.

It is important to note that Sanjay’s claim has not been verified. The Congress has denied any such understanding with the BJP.

Only time will tell if there is any truth to Sanjay’s claim. However, it has certainly raised eyebrows and added another layer of intrigue to the upcoming assembly polls in Telangana.

Telangana IT Minister accuses PM Modi of misleading public

Telangana’s IT Minister KT Rama Rao has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of misleading the public with his promise to form a committee to empower the Madiga community, a Scheduled Caste group in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Rama Rao also asserted that the BJP is not a serious contender in the upcoming Telangana assembly elections.

Rama Rao’s criticism comes in response to Modi’s announcement at a rally organized by the Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) that a committee would be formed to explore ways to empower the Madiga community. However, Rama Rao contends that the formation of yet another committee is a delaying tactic and that the government should simply implement the resolution passed by the Telangana Assembly in favor of categorizing Scheduled Castes.

Rama Rao further dismissed the BJP’s prospects in the upcoming Telangana elections, stating that the party is not a significant player in the state. His comments are likely to intensify the political rivalry between the ruling BRS party and the BJP ahead of the polls.

The issue of categorizing Scheduled Castes has been a long-standing demand of the Madiga community. The Telangana Assembly had passed a unanimous resolution in support of categorization, and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had also submitted a memorandum to PM Modi on the matter. However, the central government has so far not taken any concrete action on the issue.

Rama Rao’s accusations and the ongoing political debate surrounding the issue of categorizing Scheduled Castes highlight the complex social and political dynamics in Telangana. The resolution of this issue is likely to have a significant impact on the state’s Scheduled Caste population.

Congress Candidate in Medak Makes Bold Claim: 48 Hours of Power Supply Daily

HYDERABAD, India—As Telangana Assembly Elections approach, some opposition candidates are making unrealistic promises to attract voters. One such candidate is Mynampally Rohith, a Congress candidate from Medak, who has pledged to provide electricity for 48 hours per day if his party is elected.

Mr. Rohith’s promise has raised eyebrows and drawn criticism from netizens, who have pointed out that there are only 24 hours in a day. Some have questioned Mr. Rohith’s understanding of timekeeping, while others have accused him of making unrealistic promises to gain votes.

Mr. Rohith’s promise is not the only one that has attracted attention. Other candidates have made promises such as providing free laptops to students, reducing unemployment, and building new roads and bridges. However, some of these promises have been criticized as being unrealistic or unfeasible.

With the elections just around the corner, it remains to be seen whether voters will be swayed by these promises or whether they will choose candidates based on their track records and policies.

BRS: Congress’ Minority Declaration Threatens Harmony

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has called the Congress’ Minority Declaration an “unnecessary” and “harmful” proposal that could create conflict between Backward Classes (BCs) and minorities in Telangana. The declaration, which promises to conduct a caste census for minorities and ensure fair reservations for all backward classes, has been criticized by the BRS for being divisive and impractical.

BRS working president K T Rama Rao has pointed out that the Constitution already recognizes Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, and other sections as religious minorities. He has argued that conducting a separate caste census for minorities would be redundant and could harm both BCs and minorities.

Rama Rao has also accused the Telangana Congress of being in cahoots with the BJP. He has pointed out that the Congress is strategically fielding weak candidates against BJP candidates, as part of a prior understanding. He has also questioned the credibility of the Congress party for the nomination of leaders and their family members for multiple constituencies in Telangana, contrary to its Udaypur Declaration prohibiting tickets to two or more members of a family.

The BRS has said that it is committed to minority reservations based on the socio-economic conditions as recommended by the Sachar Committee and Sudhir Committee reports. The party has reminded that the Telangana Assembly had passed a resolution in this regard on April 16, 2017, and sent it to the Centre for approval. However, the Central government has not yet approved the resolution.

The BRS has also accused Congress of failing to provide adequate funds for minorities’ welfare. Rama Rao has pointed out that Congress spent only Rs 930 crore on minorities’ welfare in its 10 years of rule, while the BRS has spent Rs 10,139 crore between 2014-15 and 2023-24.

The BRS has said that it is committed to improving the lives of all people in Telangana, including minorities. The party has said that it will continue to provide them with the support they need to thrive.
