Itinerary Highlights:

Departure: The tour departs from CRO Basheerbagh, Hyderabad at 6:30 pm on specific dates throughout April, May, and June.
Day 1: Arrive at Kanipakam for refreshments and visit the Kanipakam Temple (darshan excluded). ‘NaMo Bharat’: PM Modi Inaugurates India’s 1st RapidX Rail Service

New Delhi, October 20, 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India’s first semi-high-speed regional rail service, ‘NaMo Bharat’, on Friday, October 20, 2023. The train will connect the Sahibabad and Duhai Depot stations in Uttar Pradesh, and is the first section of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor to be opened to passengers.

The RRTS is a state-of-the-art rapid rail system that is being built to connect major cities and towns in the National Capital Region (NCR). The trains on the RRTS corridor will operate at speeds of up to 180 kmph, and are expected to significantly reduce travel time between major destinations in the NCR.

Hyderabad Metro Rail to Run Till Midnight on Ganesh Namazjanam

In good news for Hyderabadis, Metro Rail officials have announced that Metro trains will run till midnight on Thursday, September 28, on the occasion of Ganesh Namazjanam.

To facilitate the smooth movement of devotees during the Ganesh immersion festivities, Metro officials have said that trains will run till 1 am. Additional police and private security personnel will be deployed at Khairatabad and Lakdikapool metro stations, and additional ticket counters and trains will be run in some metro stations as needed.

Metro operations will resume as usual on September 29 at 6 am.

Metro officials have appealed to the public to take advantage of Metro services during this time.

Hyderabad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express to Start Commercial Operations from September 25

The Hyderabad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express, India’s fastest train, is all set to start commercial operations from September 25, 2023. The train will cover the distance of 610 km between the two cities in just 7 hours and 30 minutes, making it around 2.5 hours faster than all other trains on the route.

The Vande Bharat Express will depart from Kacheguda station in Hyderabad at 5.30 am and arrive at Yesvantpur station in Bengaluru at 2 pm. In the return direction, the train will leave Yesvantpur station at 2.45 pm and reach Kacheguda station at 11.15 pm.

The train will make stops at Mahbubnagar, Kurnool City, Anantapur, and Dharmavaram stations. It will have a total of eight coaches, including two driving trailer coaches, four motor coaches, and two trailer coaches.

The Vande Bharat Express is equipped with a host of modern features, including:

  • A top speed of 160 km/h
  • Automatic sliding doors
  • Reclining seats with leg rests
  • Onboard entertainment system
  • Wi-Fi connectivity
  • Bio-toilets
