Couple Injured in Kite String Accident While Traveling to Yadadri Temple

A man traveling to the Yadadri temple on a two-wheeler suffered a deep throat injury after being caught in a kite string. His wife, who was riding a pillion, fell off the vehicle and sustained severe head injuries, losing consciousness on the spot.
The couple was promptly taken to the Bhongir Area Hospital by ambulance for medical treatment. Further updates on their condition are awaited.

No Change in Tirumala Darshan and Laddu Prices: TTD

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has confirmed that there is no increase in the prices for the Rs 300 special entry darshan and the Rs 50 laddu prasadam at the Tirumala Sri Venkateswara temple. They advised devotees to ignore false information circulating on social media.

In a statement on Saturday, a TTD spokesperson addressed rumors on WhatsApp about higher prices for special entry darshan, urging devotees to use the official TTD website for bookings at https://ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in.

The spokesperson also mentioned that some tickets are available through state tourism departments, allowing devotees to book darshan package tickets via their state tourism websites.

Additionally, the TTD vigilance wing has noted that some brokers are overcharging for tickets through tourism websites. TTD warned these brokers of strict action and advised devotees to use only the official TTD and tourism websites for bookings.

Hyderabad Metro Rail to Run Till Midnight on Ganesh Namazjanam

In good news for Hyderabadis, Metro Rail officials have announced that Metro trains will run till midnight on Thursday, September 28, on the occasion of Ganesh Namazjanam.

To facilitate the smooth movement of devotees during the Ganesh immersion festivities, Metro officials have said that trains will run till 1 am. Additional police and private security personnel will be deployed at Khairatabad and Lakdikapool metro stations, and additional ticket counters and trains will be run in some metro stations as needed.

Metro operations will resume as usual on September 29 at 6 am.

Metro officials have appealed to the public to take advantage of Metro services during this time.
