Quadrant to create 500 jobs in Hanamkonda IT park

Hanamkonda, Telangana: Quadrant Resources, a software company, is all set to begin its operations in the IT park in Madikonda, Hanamkonda district. The company will provide direct employment to local youth in the software sector.

Quadrant Resources is the third major company to set up its office in Warangal after Cyient and Tech Mahindra. The state government has allotted 50,000 square feet of space to the company and invested Rs 35 crore for its establishment.

The company has already hired 100-150 local youth and plans to create 500 jobs in the next two years. Quadrant Resources CEO Vamshi Reddy said that he decided to set up his company in Warangal to help engineering students build a career.

“Many engineering students from Warangal prefer to migrate to metropolitan cities like Hyderabad and other states, as there are no job opportunities here. I wanted to create job opportunities for local youth in their own city,” Reddy said.

The Telangana government is promoting the IT sector in Warangal and other Tier-II cities. The state government has set a target of creating one lakh IT jobs in Warangal by 2025.

The establishment of Quadrant Resources is a positive development for the IT sector in Warangal and Telangana. It will provide much-needed employment opportunities to local youth and boost the economic growth of the region.

TS PGECET 2023 final phase seat allotment released, 3,592 candidates secure seats

The Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET) 2023 second and final phase seat allotment was released on Tuesday, with 3,592 candidates securing seats.

A total of 5,812 convener seats were available in PG courses of Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, and Pharm (PB). Of these, 4,820 candidates exercised web options, and 3,592 were allotted seats in the final phase of counselling.

Candidates who have been allotted a seat must pay the tuition fee online, if applicable. After paying the tuition fee, students must report to their allotted college with original certificates, along with the tuition fee receipt and joining letter, for verification by October 7.

Upon successful verification of original certificates, an allotment order will be generated and issued at the college.

Hyderabad Metro Rail to Run Till Midnight on Ganesh Namazjanam

In good news for Hyderabadis, Metro Rail officials have announced that Metro trains will run till midnight on Thursday, September 28, on the occasion of Ganesh Namazjanam.

To facilitate the smooth movement of devotees during the Ganesh immersion festivities, Metro officials have said that trains will run till 1 am. Additional police and private security personnel will be deployed at Khairatabad and Lakdikapool metro stations, and additional ticket counters and trains will be run in some metro stations as needed.

Metro operations will resume as usual on September 29 at 6 am.

Metro officials have appealed to the public to take advantage of Metro services during this time.

Telangana High Court Confirms Order to Reconduct Group I Examination

The Telangana High Court division bench of Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili and Justice J Anil Kumar on Wednesday confirmed the single judge order that directed the reconducting of the Group I examination.

The State had moved an appeal against the order stating that lakhs of aspirants would be put to a disadvantage for the baseless apprehensions of a few petitioners. The State said that not implementing biometrics does not establish any chance of impersonation or malpractices. The State also said that even the OMR sheets had a barcode to properly verify the credentials of the candidates.

However, hearing the rival submissions made by both parties, the court came to the conclusion that when the notification and web note prescribed a process and procedure, the same could not be violated. Accordingly, the bench dismissed the appeal filed by the State government.

Rachakonda Police Announces Traffic Restrictions for Ganesh Idol Immersion on Thursday

The Rachakonda police have announced traffic restrictions at various places in view of the Ganesh idol immersion event on Thursday.

Heavy Vehicle Restrictions

  • Heavy vehicles will not be allowed towards Malkajgiri from Mettuguda and will be diverted at Malkajgiri cross-roads.
  • Heavy vehicles from Chengicherla cross-roads towards Uppal will not be allowed towards Uppal cross roads and will be diverted towards NFC via IOCL and Chengicherla.
  • Heavy vehicles on other routes including Bairamalguda to Champapet, Neredmet to Safilguda Tank, RK Puram to ECIL and Lalaguda T Junction to Mirjalguda will also be restricted.

General Traffic Restrictions

  • At Saroornagar lake immersion point, vehicles will not be allowed towards Saroornagar Tank via Saroornagar post office side and Karmanghat side from 6 am on Thursday till 8 am the next day.
  • At Safilguda lake immersion point, general traffic from Malkajgiri will not be allowed towards Safilguda junction and traffic will not be allowed from AOC area towards Anandbagh and will be diverted towards Gouthamnagar. Traffic will not be allowed from Balaramnagar towards Safilguda and will be diverted towards Safilguda junction. Traffic from Vinayaknagar will not be allowed towards Safilguda junction and will be diverted towards DAV school.
  • At Kapra lake immersion point, the general traffic will not be allowed from Nethajinagar cross-roads and Yapral side towards Kapra Lake.

Commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly and avoid the aforementioned routes during the restricted hours.

Retired Collector’s Home Burgled in Mancherial

Unknown burglars stole Rs. 2 lahks from the home of a retired IAS officer, Sharman Naik, in GP Ramnaik Thanda village of Jannaram mandal on Tuesday night.

The burglars broke into the house and stole the cash from an almirah on the first floor while Naik and his family members were asleep in a room on the ground floor.

Jannaram Sub-Inspector P Sathish said that the police are investigating the case and are searching for the burglars.

TS TET 2023 Results Released – Download Your Scorecard Now!

The Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test (TS TET) 2023 results will be released on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. Candidates can download their results from the official website, https://tstet.cgg.gov.in, from 10 am onwards.

The TS TET is a state-level eligibility test conducted by the Telangana State Teacher Recruitment Board (TS TRB) for candidates who aspire to become teachers in government schools in Telangana. The exam is conducted twice a year, in March and September.

This year, the TS TET was held on September 15, 2023, for two papers – Paper I (Primary School Teacher) and Paper II (Secondary School Teacher). Over 3 lakh candidates appeared for the exam.

To download their results, candidates need to visit the official website and enter their login credentials, such as their registration number and date of birth. The results will be displayed in the form of a scorecard, which will include the candidate’s marks in each section of the exam, as well as their overall score.

Candidates who qualify the TS TET will be eligible to apply for teaching jobs in government schools in Telangana. The validity of the TS TET certificate is for seven years from the date of issue.

Lulu Group Opens First Mall in Hyderabad

The UAE-based retailer Lulu Group has opened its first mall in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The mall, located in Kukatpally, is spread across five lakh square feet and features a Lulu Hypermarket, a 5-screen cinema, a food court, a children’s entertainment center, and a variety of other retail stores.

The mall was inaugurated by IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao in the presence of Yusuff Ali M.A., Chairman and Managing Director of Lulu Group. The project is part of a Rs. 500 crore investment that Lulu committed to the State of Telangana.

The Lulu Hypermarket offers a wide selection of fresh products, groceries, fashion, home appliances, electronics, IT, and lifestyle products. The mall also has a food court with around seven restaurants offering different cuisines.
Lulu Mall is expected to create employment opportunities for over 2,000 individuals. It is anticipated to make a significant contribution to Hyderabad’s vibrant shopping scene.

Crocodile Rescued from Stagnant Pool in Hanamkonda

A crocodile was rescued from a pool of stagnant water in Hanamkonda, Telangana, on Friday. The crocodile was spotted by locals near a residential area, and the Forest department was immediately alerted.

A team of forest staff and veterinary experts rushed to the site and rescued the crocodile after a nearly three-hour operation. The crocodile was then shifted to a forest area and released into Pakal Lake, about 50 km from Warangal.

Forest officials are still unsure how the crocodile ended up in the pool of stagnant water, but they believe it may have strayed from a nearby water body. Residents of a colony near the Kakatiya Zoo Park have also claimed to have spotted a crocodile in a pond in the Padmakashigutta area in the past, but the crocodile could not be traced.

The residents of Hanamkonda have expressed their gratitude to the forest staff for rescuing the crocodile and releasing it back into its natural habitat.

Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali inaugurated 2500 CCTV cameras installed under the Safe City project in Hyderabad on Monday. He also inaugurated the War Room and visitors gallery of the TS Integrated Command Control Centre in Banjara Hills, in the presence of Telangana DGP Anjani Kumar and C.V Anand, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad.

Speaking after the launch, Mahmood Ali said that Telangana state tops the country in adopting technology for regular policing and law enforcement. He said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s vision of having a safe and secure Telangana is helping police in adopting all modern technology.

The War Room will help in attending any eventualities more effectively under the supervision of higher officials and better coordination, he added.

The Safe City project is a comprehensive initiative by the Telangana government to make Hyderabad a safer city for women and children. The project includes the installation of CCTV cameras, emergency call boxes, and street lights in key areas. The War Room is a central command center that will monitor the CCTV cameras and other security systems in the city.

Telangana’s adoption of technology for policing is a model for other states in India. The use of CCTV cameras and other technology has helped to reduce crime and improve public safety in the state.

Telangana Government to Launch Free Breakfast Scheme for Government School Students

In a nutritious Dasara gift to government school students in Telangana, the state government is set to launch a free breakfast scheme on October 24. The scheme, called ‘Chief Minister’s Breakfast’ (Mukhyamantri Alpahara), will benefit over 23 lakh students in over 28,000 schools across the state.

The breakfast will be prepared at the school and served steaming hot to students before the morning prayer. The menu will include a variety of nutritious dishes, such as millet ‘rava khichdi’ with ‘sambar’, ‘rava pongal’ with ‘sambar’, and wheat ‘rava khichdi’ with ‘chutney’.

The scheme has been launched to address the nutritional status of schoolgoing children and alleviate the burden of working mothers. It is also expected to improve academic performance.

In addition to the free breakfast, the state government already provides free mid-day meals to government and local body school children. The meals include a variety of nutritious dishes, such as fine rice, dal, sambar, vegetable curry, legume vegetable curry, and special rice like vegetable biryani, ‘bagara’ rice, and ‘pulihora.

The government has also included eggs in the mid-day meal, which are provided to students thrice a week. The Central and State governments share the expenditure on the mid-day meal served to classes I to VIII students in 60:40 ratio. However, the State government alone bears the meal cost for classes IX and X students along with egg cost for classes I to X students.

The launch of the free breakfast scheme is a welcome move by the Telangana government. It will help to ensure that all schoolgoing children have access to nutritious food, which is essential for their physical and mental development.
