The Indian Government Blocked Over 100 Fraudulent Websites

Government Takes Swift Action: Blocks Over 100 Websites in Crackdown on Illegal Investments and Job Frauds

Over 100 websites have been blocked by the Indian government for aiding organized illegal investments and fraudulent part-time job schemes. The Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C), part of the Union Home Ministry, identified and recommended the blocking of these websites through its National Cybercrime Threat Analytics Unit (NCTAU).

These websites, mostly run by foreign entities, targeted retired individuals, women, and unemployed youth seeking part-time employment. Operated through digital advertisements, chat messengers, and rented accounts, these platforms facilitated organized illegal investments related to economic crimes.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) utilized its authority under the Information Technology Act, of 2000, to block these websites. The economic frauds conducted on these platforms involved laundering proceeds out of India through methods like card networks, cryptocurrencies, overseas ATM withdrawals, and international Fintech companies.

The Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C) is a Home Ministry initiative to address cyber crimes in a coordinated manner. Citizens are urged to report phone numbers and social media handles used by fraudsters through the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (NCRP).

The fraudulent schemes typically began with targeted digital advertisements on platforms like Google and Meta, using keywords like “Ghar baithe job” (work from home) and “Ghar baithe kamai kaise karen” (how to earn from home). Victims were then engaged through WhatsApp or Telegram, convinced to perform tasks for commissions, and eventually duped into making larger investments.

As a precaution, citizens are advised to exercise caution before investing in high-commission online schemes. Financial transactions with unknown individuals on WhatsApp or Telegram should be avoided without proper verification. Checking the source of initial commissions and verifying the name of the receiver in UPI Apps is recommended to prevent falling victim to fraudulent schemes.

The government emphasizes refraining from transactions with unknown accounts to prevent involvement in money laundering, terror financing, and potential legal consequences, according to the statement.

Cyclone Michaung Weakens, Hyderabad Rains to Subside

Hyderabad breathes a sigh of relief as Cyclone Michaung weakens

Good news for Hyderabadis! Cyclone Michaung, which had everyone on edge, has lost its sting. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has downgraded the storm from a severe cyclonic storm to a mere depression, meaning its impact on the city will fizzle out soon.

That translates to no more worries about heavy downpours. The sporadic but intense showers that kept us on our toes are expected to become a distant memory. So, put away those umbrellas and raincoats – you won’t be needing them anymore.

Of course, things won’t be completely sunny just yet. There might still be some early morning haze and partly cloudy skies, but that’s just Michaung’s way of saying goodbye.

And the best part? Temperatures are expected to remain pleasantly stable over the next four days. Daytime highs will be a comfortable 28°C to 31°C, while nights will be cool and cozy at 18°C to 21°C.

So, Hyderabad, it’s time to relax, step out, and enjoy the (mostly) clear skies! Just remember, Michaung might have left, but winter is on its way, so keep those jackets handy.

TTD Worst Maintenance || Is the food at Tirupati so bad?

TTD’s Food Donation Under Fire: Is it Really That Bad?

The Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirupati is one of the most famous pilgrimage centers in India. The TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam), which manages this temple, is one of the largest Hindu temple management organizations in the world.

Despite doing many good things in temple management, TTD is facing severe criticism in some matters. One of them is the maintenance of food in the temple.

TTD provides free food in the temple. Lakhs of devotees benefit from this food donation every day. However, there are very dire situations in the maintenance of this food donation.

In a recent video, it was shown that the food being served to devotees at one of the food donation centers in Tirupati is very bad. The food was wet and wormy. Sometimes, stones and pieces are also found in the food.

This video went viral on social media. Devotees expressed strong objections to this.

Responding to this, TTD has announced that it is taking steps to clean the food donation centers. However, it remains to be seen how effective these measures will be.

TTD should take immediate action on this matter. It should be committed to improving the maintenance of food donations. Otherwise, it will become a serious inconvenience to the devotees.

This latest incident has sparked outrage and renewed concerns about passenger safety in Delhi Metro. Netizens have expressed strong disapproval of the violent behavior, with many calling for stricter security measures and harsher penalties for such unruly conduct.

“This is absolutely appalling! How can people resort to such violence over something as trivial as a seat?” tweeted one user. Metro authorities need to take immediate action to ensure passenger safety and prevent such incidents from happening again.
Another user commented, “This is not just about a seat, it’s about the lack of respect and civility. We need to learn to resolve conflicts peacefully, not turn our trains into fight clubs.”

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has acknowledged the incident and confirmed that an investigation is underway. They have also issued a statement urging passengers to maintain decorum and report any unruly behavior to metro personnel immediately.

“The safety of our passengers is our top priority,” the statement read. “We will not tolerate any act of violence or indiscipline within our stations and trains. We are committed to taking strict action against offenders, as per the law.”
However, many remain skeptical about the effectiveness of existing measures. They point to the repeated occurrence of similar incidents and the seemingly lax enforcement of regulations.

“How many more videos do we need to see before something concrete is done?” questioned one frustrated commuter. “Increased security presence, stricter penalties, and awareness campaigns are all urgently needed to restore our sense of safety in the metro.”

As investigations continue and the video continues to circulate online, the Delhi Metro brawl serves as a stark reminder of the need for collective action to address the issue of passenger safety. Whether through stricter regulations, improved conflict resolution mechanisms, or simply a collective shift towards more civilized behavior, ensuring a safe and secure commuting experience for all remains a critical challenge for the city’s beloved metro system.

GHMC Initiates Action Against Hyderabad Eatery After Lizard Found in Biryani

Hyderabad: A popular restaurant in Hyderabad is facing trouble with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) after a customer found a lizard in their biryani. The incident occurred on a Saturday afternoon when a family ordered a mini chicken biryani from Bawarchi restaurant at RTC X Roads.

The customer, B. Sowmya, shared that her son Aditya, who is scared of lizards, spotted it just before taking a bite. Strategic Shift: BRS MLAs Embrace Public Engagement at Telangana Bhavan Post-Election Setback

Hyderabad: In response to the recent election setback, BRS has decided that its MLAs will regularly meet with the public at the party headquarters, Telangana Bhavan. BRS working president KT Rama Rao urged the newly elected MLAs to be accessible to the people and address their concerns, much like they did at Pragathi Bhavan and the secretariat before.

Rama Rao conducted a meeting with the recently elected MLAs at Telangana Bhavan on Monday. During the meeting, he announced that a comprehensive gathering of BRS elected representatives and leaders would take place soon. The working president also extended congratulations to the newly elected MLAs.

However, there was confusion about the absence of a couple of MLAs, including LB Nagar MLA D Sudheer Reddy, Medchal MLA Ch Malla Reddy, and Malkajgiri MLA-elect Marri Rajasekhar Reddy. Reports suggested that Bhadrachalam MLA Tellam Venkat Rao might be switching parties. It was later clarified that they couldn’t make it to Telangana Bhavan due to a communication gap, and they joined the elected legislators for a courtesy visit to BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao’s farmhouse at Erravelli.
