Hyderabad: Mujra Party Shut Down at Farmhouse on City Outskirts

In the early hours of Wednesday, the Cyberabad Special Operations Team (SOT) raided a farmhouse in Moinabad, located on the outskirts of Hyderabad, where they discovered a mujra party. Seven women were detained, and 14 young men were arrested.

The police also found 70 grams of marijuana and several bottles of alcohol at the party. Interestingly, the farmhouse was located right next to the local police station.

According to reports, the organizers held the mujra party at the farmhouse, which lasted until 3 a.m. Guests were reportedly served hookah and drugs during the event. The organizers had brought women from places like Mumbai and West Bengal to perform inappropriate dances for the guests.

The women dancers were sent to a rescue home, while the arrested young men were taken to the police station. The Moinabad police have filed a case under the relevant laws and are continuing their investigation.

The value of the confiscated goods is estimated to be around Rs 1.34 lakh. Officials from the Cyberabad Special Operations Team mentioned that the shopkeepers were breaking the law by selling alcohol without proper permits, just to make money.

Bengaluru Blast Triggers High Alert in Hyderabad: Police Vigilance Stepped Up

After a bomb blast at Rameshwaram Café in Bengaluru that injured at least nine people, Hyderabad Police is keeping a close watch on public places in the city. Special police teams, like the Task Force and Special Operations Team, are searching hotels, lodges, railway and bus stations.

“We’re already alert because of the upcoming festivals. But with the Bengaluru blast, we’re asking all units to be extra vigilant,” said K. Sreenivasa Reddy, Hyderabad Police Commissioner.

Security has also been increased at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, with thorough checks on passengers, luggage, and visitors.

Interstate Gang Held with Heroin in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Special Operations Team (SOT) along with the Kushaiguda police arrested an interstate gang from Rajasthan on Tuesday on charges of drug peddling.

The police have reportedly seized 100 grams of heroin from the gang members. Police sources said that the suspects procured the psychotropic substance from drug peddlers operating in Rajasthan and sold it to consumers in Hyderabad at a higher price for easy money.

The police have registered a case against the gang members under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and are further investigating the matter to identify their other accomplices and suppliers.

The police have warned drug peddlers and consumers that they will be dealt with sternly under the law. They have also appealed to the public to come forward with any information they may have about drug trafficking in the city.
