Three Injured in Lightning Strike in Mulugu District

Boyagudem, Mulugu: Three people suffered minor injuries in a lightning strike incident on Monday near Boyagudem village in Nooguru Venkatapuram mandal of Mulugu district.

According to reports, the incident occurred during a thunderstorm. The three victims were working in the field when they were struck by lightning. They were rushed to Nuguru Venkatapuram Government Social Hospital by locals.

The victims have been identified as [Victim 1], [Victim 2], and [Victim 3]. They are all in stable condition and are expected to make a full recovery.

The local administration has warned people to be cautious during thunderstorms and to avoid open areas.

APSRTC Bus Tragedy Claims Three Lives in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: On Monday, a tragic incident occurred at the Pandit Nehru Bus Stand in Vijayawada when an APSRTC bus lost its brakes and rammed into platform number 12, resulting in the deaths of three individuals. The deceased include a bus conductor named Veeraiah from the Guntur-2 depot, a woman, and a young boy.

According to RTC officials, the mishap was caused by a brake failure. The injured passengers were promptly transported to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.

APSRTC Managing Director Dwaraka Tirumala Rao addressed the media and stated that a thorough investigation has been initiated to determine the exact cause of the accident and that appropriate measures will be taken against those found responsible.

To provide financial assistance to the families of the deceased, the State government has announced an ex gratia payment of Rs 10 lakhs each. Additionally, the government will cover the medical expenses of the injured passengers.

TS EdCET 2023 Special Round Counseling Schedule Announced

TS EdCET:  The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has announced the special round counseling schedule for admissions into a two-year B.Ed. courses. Candidates who missed the opportunity to register and upload certificates in phase-I, II, and final phase counseling can now do so from November 6 to 7, 2023.

  • Registration and uploading of certificates: November 6 to 7, 2023
  • Web options: November 8 to 9, 2023
  • Editing of web options: November 10, 2023
  • Provisional list of selected candidates: November 14, 2023
  • Reporting to the allotted college: November 15 to 17, 2023

Important Instructions

  • Candidates who could not register and upload certificates in previous phases must register and upload scanned copies of relevant original certificates to participate in the special round of counseling.

Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express Delayed for Six Hours

Passengers were left stranded at Secunderabad Railway Station on Monday due to a six-hour delay in the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express – 20701. The train was scheduled to depart at 6:15 am but was rescheduled five times before finally leaving at 12:15 pm.

A technical snag in the train’s spring foil was the cause of the delay, according to a South Central Railway official spokesperson.

“The Vande Bharat Express will arrive in Tirupati at 8 pm, and the same rake, which was originally scheduled to depart Tirupati at 3:15 pm, will now depart for Secunderabad at 8:15 pm,” the SCR official stated.

Prajavani Public Speaking Program Cancelled

Warangal: District Collector P. Pravinya has announced the cancellation of the public speaking program scheduled to take place at the Collectorate meeting hall. The decision has been taken due to the engagement of officials, election commission meetings, and staff in election duties.

The public speaking program scheduled for today at the Collectorate meeting hall has been canceled,” said District Collector P. Pravinya in a statement on Sunday. “We request the people from the district not to come to the Collectorate office to lodge complaints as the officials are busy with election duties.”

The Collectorate office will remain closed for public purposes until further notice. However, essential services such as treasury, registration, and revenue will continue to function.

Warangal: The Congress party is yet to finalize its candidate for the Dornakal seat in the joint WGL district. This has caused tension among the aspirants for the ticket, as they are unsure who will be selected.

The delay in announcing the candidate has also confused the party cadre, who are wondering whether their preferred leader will get the ticket or not.

BJP campaign vehicle hits elderly woman in Sangareddy

Sangareddy: An elderly woman was seriously injured after a BJP campaign vehicle hit her at Jinnaram Mandal headquarters on Saturday.

The victim was identified as Dappu Narsamma (78) from the same village. While the crowd was waiting for BJP candidate Nandishwar Goud from Patancheru constituency at Jinnaram on Saturday afternoon, the driver of the campaign vehicle reversed the vehicle, hitting Narsamma.

She was rushed to the Mallareddy Hospital located at Jeedimetla for treatment. The Jinnaram police have registered a case and have taken the driver into custody.

This incident has come as a major embarrassment for the BJP, which is already facing criticism over its handling of the economy and other issues. The party will be hoping that this incident does not damage its chances in the upcoming elections.

In the meantime, the police are investigating the incident and will be taking appropriate action against the driver of the vehicle.

Tragedy Strikes on Outer Ring Road: Two Dead, Three Injured in Car Accident

In a heart-wrenching incident that occurred in the early hours of Sunday, two young men lost their lives and three others sustained severe injuries when their car overturned while attempting to overtake another vehicle on the Outer Ring Road near Muthangi Toll-plaza under Patancheru Police Station limits.

The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Luman (20) and Sayyad Majid (21). The identities of the injured individuals are yet to be determined. Following the accident, the injured were promptly rushed to the Area Hospital Patancheru, while the bodies of the two victims were transferred to the mortuary at the same hospital.

The Patancheru Police have initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident. The inquiry is currently underway.

KCR’s Praja Ashirwada Sabhas: A Marathon of Public Meetings

KCR’s Praja Ashirwada Sabhas: KCR, the charismatic Chief Minister of Telangana, is set to intensify his election campaign with a series of Praja Ashirwada Sabhas, or public meetings. These meetings are designed to inject new energy into the party cadre and elicit an overwhelming response from the public.

Starting with two meetings on Sunday at Khammam and Kothagudem, KCR will continue his Praja Ashirwada Sabhas through Wednesday, addressing gatherings in Gadwal, Makthal, Narayanpet, Chennur, Manthani, Peddapalli, Sirpur, Asifabad, and Bellampalli.

On November 9, KCR will file his nominations from Gajwel and Kamareddy, his two constituencies for this election. This will be followed by a public meeting at Kamareddy, marking the first of his meetings in these constituencies.

Warangal: Five Injured in Car Accident on National Highway

WARANGAL, INDIA – A car accident on the national highway in Vardhannapet town of Warangal district left five people injured on Sunday. The car hit an electric pole and overturned, while a bike rammed into a mechanic’s shop. The injured were taken to the nearby hospital for treatment.

According to the initial reports, the car was traveling from Hanamkonda to Karimnagar when it lost control and hit the electric pole. The impact of the collision caused the car to overturn, and the bike that was following behind rammed into a mechanic’s shop.

The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation. However, it is suspected that speeding may have been a factor.

The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter further.

Teenager from Warangal arrested for sending death threats to Mukesh Ambani

A 19-year-old from Warangal, Telangana, has been arrested for allegedly sending death threats to billionaire industrialist Mukesh Ambani. The accused, identified as Ganesh Ramesh Vanaparthi, is said to have sent multiple emails to Ambani demanding crores of rupees and threatening to harm him if the demands were not met.

Vanaparthi was arrested after the Mumbai police traced the IP address of the emails to his computer. He was produced before a court and remanded to police custody till November 8.

According to the police, Vanaparthi sent the first email on October 27, demanding ₹20 crores and threatening that ‘we have the best shooters in India’. The following day, another email was sent demanding more money with a line from the email saying ‘If the demands are not fulfilled, a death warrant will be issued’.

The police are investigating whether Vanaparthi acted alone or if he was part of a larger group. They are also trying to determine his motive for sending the threats.

In addition to Vanaparthi, a 21-year-old man from Gujarat has also been arrested for sending similar threats to Ambani. The man, identified as Rajveer Khant, is said to have sent the emails as a “joke.”

Both Vanaparthi and Khant have been charged with extortion and criminal intimidation. They are currently in police custody and awaiting trial.
