Three Lives Lost in Asifabad and Mancherial Incidents

Triple Murder in Mancherial: 2 Neighbors Killed in Revenge Attack, Migrant Worker Stabbed

Asifabad/Mancherial: Two separate incidents in Asifabad and Mancherial have left three people dead. In the first incident, a 45-year-old man named Gubide Shravan was murdered by his neighbor, Bamne Srinivas, on Friday night in Bestawada. The victim’s son, Anil, retaliated by killing Srinivas with an axe just minutes later. Anil later surrendered to the police, admitting to the crime.

According to Asifabad Inspector Raju, the police suspect that Srinivas had a grudge against Shravan over a minor issue, and he was under the influence of alcohol during the incident. Srinivas, who is Shravan’s son-in-law and lives next door, has three daughters and a son, while Shravan is survived by three sons.

In another incident on the same night, a 38-year-old migrant daily wage laborer, Boddu Jalandar, was stabbed to death in Keslapur village in Bheemini mandal of Mancherial district. The accused, Muthyam Rajashekhar Goud, surrendered to the police and confessed to the murder.

Jalandar, originally from Keslapur, had moved to Hyderabad a few years ago in search of a livelihood. He had returned to Keslapur to cast his vote. The families of Jalandar and Rajashekhar had been in conflict for an extended period.

Self-Prescribed Antibiotics Almost Cost Architect Her Life

Architect narrowly avoids life-threatening complications after self-medicating with internet-sourced antibiotics

Hyderabad: A woman architect in Secunderabad narrowly avoided life-threatening kidney complications after taking antibiotics prescribed by her father, who researched her symptoms online. Doctors at the Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology (AINU) treated the patient for a severe kidney infection and the formation of stone-like structures called matrix in her kidneys, all stemming from self-medication.

Dr. Raghavendra Kulkarni, a Urologist at AINU, explained that the patient’s reliance on internet-based diagnoses and incomplete antibiotic courses led to antibiotic resistance and the formation of matrix, a potentially life-threatening condition. Despite having undergone surgery for kidney stones 18 months ago, the patient opted for self-treatment instead of seeking professional advice for recurring symptoms.

Dr. Kulkarni emphasized the importance of avoiding self-prescription and completing prescribed antibiotic courses, highlighting the potentially severe consequences of such actions.

Police Officers Suspended for Mishandling ₹18 Lakh Cash Seizure

Three Hyderabad Police Officers Suspended for Shielding Suspects in Cash Seizure Case

Three police officers in Hyderabad, India, have been suspended for their handling of a ₹18 lakh cash seizure. The officers, identified as Musheerabad Inspector Jahangir Yadav, Chikkadpally ACP A. Yadagiri, and DCP (Central Zone) M. Venkateshwarulu, were found to have acted in a “partisan manner” when they failed to take proper legal action against the individuals involved in the seizure.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) initiated the suspension proceedings based on a report by Special Observers who were investigating the seizure. The report found that the officers had failed to name the accused in the case, despite having the information readily available. Instead, they had booked a case under Cr. PC 102, which does not require the identification of the accused.

The ECI further noted that the officers had attempted to “dilute the case and mislead the investigation” by not taking proper legal action. They could have easily identified the owner of the vehicle, cell phone, and cash, but they chose not to do so.

As a result of their actions, the three officers have been suspended from duty with immediate effect. Disciplinary proceedings will also be initiated against them.

The ECI has also appointed three new officers to take over the vacant positions. DCP (Traffic-III) D. Srinivas will assume the duties of DCP (Central zone), ACP (CCS, DD) K. Madhumohan Reddy will take over as ACP Chikkadpally division, and D. Venkat Reddy (Detective Inspector, Musheerabad police station) will assume the role of Station House Officer.

Director General of Police Anjani Kumar has also invoked the rules of the Telangana State Civil Services (CC& A) and issued separate suspension orders to the three officers.

This incident serves as a reminder that police officers must act in a fair and impartial manner and that they must uphold the law to the fullest extent.
