No Change in Tirumala Darshan and Laddu Prices: TTD

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has confirmed that there is no increase in the prices for the Rs 300 special entry darshan and the Rs 50 laddu prasadam at the Tirumala Sri Venkateswara temple. They advised devotees to ignore false information circulating on social media.

In a statement on Saturday, a TTD spokesperson addressed rumors on WhatsApp about higher prices for special entry darshan, urging devotees to use the official TTD website for bookings at https://ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in.

The spokesperson also mentioned that some tickets are available through state tourism departments, allowing devotees to book darshan package tickets via their state tourism websites.

Additionally, the TTD vigilance wing has noted that some brokers are overcharging for tickets through tourism websites. TTD warned these brokers of strict action and advised devotees to use only the official TTD and tourism websites for bookings.

Commercial Gas Cylinder Price Increases Again

New Delhi: Starting December 1st, 2023, the cost of commercial LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) Gas cylinders has gone up once more, according to public sector oil marketing companies. This increase follows a series of changes in November when the price rose by Rs. 100 on November 1st, followed by a reduction of Rs. 57 on November 16th.

The latest hike, which is Rs. 21 per cylinder, means that the retail price for a 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinder is now Rs. 1,796.5 in New Delhi and Rs. 1,749 in Mumbai. Prices may slightly differ in various cities.

It’s important to highlight that this increase only applies to commercial LPG cylinders; prices for domestic LPG cylinders remain the same.

This rise in price is happening because international crude oil prices are going up, and the Indian rupee is weakening, making it more expensive for oil companies to import LPG.

Businesses that heavily rely on LPG, such as restaurants, hotels, and small industries, will feel the impact of this price increase.
