IIT Hyderabad to Lead Yuva Sangam Phase-III in Telangana

Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad) has announced its participation as a Nodal Centre for Telangana in the Yuva Sangam (Phase – III) initiative, a flagship program of the Government of India’s Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) program.

Yuva Sangam is a unique program that brings together youth from across India on exposure tours to different states. The program aims to strengthen the bonds between youth from diverse backgrounds, foster unity and understanding, and promote cultural exchange.

IIT Hyderabad, in collaboration with Banaras Hindu University (BHU), will be responsible for organizing Yuva Sangam activities in Telangana. The program is open to students, off-campus youths, NSS volunteers, and individuals aged 18-30.

The tours are planned to take place from November to December, and will provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of India’s diversity and unity. The program will cover five broad areas:

  • Paryatan (Tourism): Participants will visit iconic tourist destinations and learn about India’s rich cultural heritage.
  • Parampara (Traditions): Participants will explore traditional arts, crafts, and cultural practices from different states.
  • Pragati (Development): Participants will visit educational institutions, industrial sites, and other development projects to learn about India’s progress.
  • Paraspar Sampark (People-to-people connect): Participants will interact with local youth and learn about their lives and experiences.
  • Prodyogiki (Technology): Participants will visit research labs and technology companies to learn about cutting-edge innovations.

The Collector directed the officials to make all necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth and successful conduct of the festival. She instructed them to pay special attention to cleanliness, sanitation, and security.

The Collector also asked the officials to involve all sections of society in the celebrations and to promote the festival’s cultural and traditional significance.

  • The Collector appealed to the people to celebrate Bathukamma in a traditional and eco-friendly manner.
