Prime Minister Modi Extends Well Wishes to KCR for Speedy Recovery

Hyderabad, Dec 8th: In a heartfelt gesture, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his concern and wished a swift recovery for former Telangana Chief Minister and BRS President, K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), who is currently hospitalized following a recent fall.

Taking to the social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi conveyed his sentiments, saying, “Distressed to know that former Telangana CM Shri KCR Garu has suffered an injury. I pray for his speedy recovery and good health.”

KCR, aged 69, is currently receiving medical attention at a private super-specialty hospital in Hyderabad. The incident occurred on Thursday night, and sources indicate that there may be a suspected fracture as a result of the fall.

Medical professionals are actively assessing KCR’s condition, considering the possibility of surgery as part of the treatment. The extent of the injury and the course of action will be determined based on the ongoing evaluations.

K Chandrasekhar Rao, a prominent political figure, has played a significant role in the political landscape of Telangana. As news of his hospitalization spreads, well-wishers and political colleagues are sending their prayers and positive thoughts for a speedy recovery.

Bhatti Vikramarka, along with other senior Congress members, is set to be part of the first group of Ministers in the new Telangana Cabinet. The Congress leadership has already shared the names with Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, who will oversee the oath-taking ceremony. A Revanth Reddy is expected to be sworn in as the new Chief Minister at LB Stadium on Thursday at 1:04 pm.

Revanth Reddy, upon returning from Delhi, personally informed the Ministerial candidates, including Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, who is likely to be appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister. The composition of the Cabinet reflects a diverse representation from various districts, with Khammam district having the highest number of three Ministers – Bhatti Vikramarka, Tummala Nageswara Rao, and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy.

Other districts like Nalgonda, Warangal, Karimnagar, Medak, and Mahabubnagar will also have their representatives in the Cabinet. Notably, Bhatti Vikramarka, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Seethakka, and Ponnam Prabhakar are set to be first-time Ministers, while others have previously served in ministerial roles in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. Bhatti Vikramarka has prior experience as Deputy Speaker and Congress Legislative Party leader. The oath-taking ceremony is scheduled to take place at LB Stadium on Thursday.

Vivek Venkataswamy Resigns from BJP, Joins Congress

Vivek Venkataswamy, who was previously a member of the BJP, has decided to leave the party. He is expected to join the Congress, and this move took place in the presence of senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

 

This decision by Vivek Venkataswamy is seen as a significant setback for the BJP in Telangana, especially with the upcoming assembly elections. He has formally resigned from the BJP and will meet Rahul Gandhi in Hyderabad to announce his joining of the Congress.

 

In his resignation letter to the BJP’s state unit president, G Kishan Reddy, Vivek expressed his gratitude for the support he received during his time with the BJP.

 

It has been reported that A Revanth Reddy, the president of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), reached out to Vivek and encouraged him to join the Congress. Additionally, there are indications that Vivek’s son, Vamshi Krishna, may be nominated by the Congress to contest in the Chennur constituency.

The announcement of Su Thirunavukkarasar’s appointment as the AICC observer was made via a party communication.

 

Scheduled for November 30, the Telangana assembly elections will reveal their results on December 3.

 

Additionally, in another communication, the party leader has named Samuel George Kalaiarasar, Ashok Maridas, and Manoj Datta as national coordinators of the Jawahar Bal Manch. This AICC-affiliated organization is dedicated to children aged 7 to 18 and aims to provide immediate support and coordination for their activities.
