Hyderabad: Man Murders Wife, Then Commits Suicide

In a tragic incident, a man in Hyderabad murdered his wife and then committed suicide on Monday night.

P Raju, a 45-year-old driver, and his wife T Santosha had been married for 17 years. They lived with their two children in the Sairam Nagar colony of Nagole.

On Monday night, Raju and Santosha had a quarrel over some family issue. During the quarrel, Raju slit Santosha’s throat with a knife and then hit her on the head with a wooden log. Santosha died on the spot.

After killing his wife, Raju went to the house of his relatives in Saroornagar and jumped from the fourth floor of an apartment building, committing suicide.

The police have registered two cases in this regard and are investigating the matter.

Woman Dies Under Suspicious Circumstances at OYO Room in Hyderabad

A 25-year-old woman from Puducherry was found dead under suspicious circumstances at an OYO room in Madhapur, Hyderabad on Wednesday. The woman, identified as Sarvana Priya, worked at a private company in Madhapur.

On Tuesday evening, Priya met her friend, Srihari Ramesh, a businessman from Chennai, at the Golden Hive OYO in Madhapur. They reportedly consumed liquor in the room. Ramesh started vomiting around midnight and went to a local hospital where he was admitted. He returned to the room around 1.30 pm on Wednesday and found Priya dead.

Priya had called up the hotel staff in the morning to extend their stay and ordered food through a food delivery app around 11 am. However, she did not respond to calls from the receptionist later.

Hyderabad Woman Murdered by Husband: Police Search for Accused

Hyderabad: A 32-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband in Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad on Friday night. The victim, Shalini, was riding her scooter to her sister’s house when her husband, Bala Kotaiah, followed her and stopped her vehicle.

An argument ensued, and Bala Kotaiah pushed Shalini down and attacked her on the head with a boulder. She suffered grievous bleeding injuries and died on the spot.

Local residents tried to stop Bala Kotaiah, but he fled the scene. Police have registered a case of murder and are searching for him.

According to police sources, the couple had been having frequent fights over trivial issues.

This is the latest in a string of domestic violence-related murders in Hyderabad. In June, a woman was killed by her husband after she refused to have sex with him. In May, another woman was killed by her husband for dowry.

Hyderabad Man Kills Brother Over Personal Grudge, Surrenders to Police

Sabir Ahmed, a man from Hyderabad, killed his brother Sajid Ahmed on Wednesday night over a personal grudge. The incident happened at Basava Taraka Nagar Filmnagar.

Sabir suspected that his wife was being harassed by Sajid and confronted him. An argument took place between them on Wednesday night and later the suspect stabbed Sajid to death, said the police.

Unknown burglars stole Rs. 2 lahks from the home of a retired IAS officer, Sharman Naik, in GP Ramnaik Thanda village of Jannaram mandal on Tuesday night.

The burglars broke into the house and stole the cash from an almirah on the first floor while Naik and his family members were asleep in a room on the ground floor.

Jannaram Sub-Inspector P Sathish said that the police are investigating the case and are searching for the burglars.

Telangana Tops Country in Adopting Technology for Policing

Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali inaugurated 2500 CCTV cameras installed under the Safe City project in Hyderabad on Monday. He also inaugurated the War Room and visitors gallery of the TS Integrated Command Control Centre in Banjara Hills, in the presence of Telangana DGP Anjani Kumar and C.V Anand, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad.

Speaking after the launch, Mahmood Ali said that Telangana state tops the country in adopting technology for regular policing and law enforcement. He said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s vision of having a safe and secure Telangana is helping police in adopting all modern technology.

The War Room will help in attending any eventualities more effectively under the supervision of higher officials and better coordination, he added.

The Safe City project is a comprehensive initiative by the Telangana government to make Hyderabad a safer city for women and children. The project includes the installation of CCTV cameras, emergency call boxes, and street lights in key areas. The War Room is a central command center that will monitor the CCTV cameras and other security systems in the city.

Telangana’s adoption of technology for policing is a model for other states in India. The use of CCTV cameras and other technology has helped to reduce crime and improve public safety in the state.

Hyderabad Fake Doctor Arrested

HYDERABAD, India – A 30-year-old man from West Bengal was arrested on Saturday for practicing as a fake doctor in Hyderabad.

Tuhin Kumar Mandal had completed his Class X education and migrated to Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh in 2012. He joined as an assistant to a doctor who treated piles patients.

In 2016, Mandal came to Hyderabad and started a clinic of his own, where he began treating patients for piles.

Acting on a tip-off, the Hyderabad task force arrested Mandal and seized material from his clinic. Further investigation is underway.

Mandal’s arrest is a reminder to the public to be vigilant and to only consult qualified doctors for medical treatment.

Warangal Police Send Strong Message to Land-Grabbers

The Warangal police have been cracking down on land-grabbers in the city and its outskirts. In the latest action, the police arrested four people on charges of land-grabbing in the Hanamkonda district.
