Young Ham Radio Operator Pavan Kumar Dies in Vijayawada Accident

Pavan Kumar, a young Ham radio operator from Vijayawada, has died from injuries he sustained in a road accident. He had been in a coma for over three weeks due to a severe head injury from the accident.

Pavan Kumar, known by his call sign VU3LFZ, was 27 years old. Besides his passion for Ham radio, he was also a talented photographer and drone operator. The accident occurred while he was traveling from Hyderabad to Vijayawada by car. Following the accident, he was taken to a hospital where he remained in a coma until he passed away on Saturday.

Pavan was an active participant in the Ham radio community and had attended Ham Fest India in Gujarat last November. Fellow Ham operators in both Vijayawada and Hyderabad have paid tribute to him.

Two individuals, identified as Shettiboyina Siddaiah (50) and Chakali Nandu (22), were tragically killed by lightning strikes in Medak district on Wednesday night. The incident occurred in Shamnapur village, Havelighanpur mandal.

Siddaiah and Nandu had entered a nearby forest area to collect firewood. When they failed to return home by nightfall, villagers initiated a search operation that continued into the night. Sadly, the search party only located their bodies on a hillock Thursday morning.

School Teacher from Andhra Pradesh Found Dead in Miyapur Lodge

Tragedy struck Miyapur on Sunday when a visiting school teacher from Andhra Pradesh was found dead in a lodge. The deceased, Jai Prakash Tulle (30), hailed from the YSR Kadapa district and was believed to have taken his own life.

According to Inspector V Durga Rama Linga Prasad of the Miyapur police, Mr. Tulle had arrived in Hyderabad two days prior to visit his sister in Kukatpally. On Saturday afternoon, he left his sister’s residence and checked into a lodge in Miyapur. Sadly, the following afternoon, Mr. Tulle was found deceased within his lodge room.

Police suspect Mr. Tulle may have consumed a poisonous substance. His body was transported to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem examination, and a case has been registered.

Tragedy Strikes: One Dead, 35 Injured in Nirmal Bus Overturn

A private travel bus carrying passengers from Adilabad to Hyderabad overturned at Mahaboob ghats near Nirmal town on Wednesday night, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries.

Farhana, a 28-year-old woman from Adilabad, succumbed to her injuries while being transported to Hyderabad for treatment. The accident occurred when the bus, reportedly carrying 50 passengers, flipped over on a curve at the ghats.

According to Nirmal Rural Inspector B Srinivas, approximately 35 passengers, including the bus driver, sustained injuries during the incident. While most sustained minor injuries and received treatment at the local government hospital, two individuals were reported to be in critical condition.

Police suspect rash driving and exceeding speed limits may have contributed to the accident. A case has been filed against both the driver and the bus owner, and investigations are ongoing.

Woman Saved from Losing Rs. 60 Lakh in Cyber Fraud: TSCSB Helpline Hailed for Swift Action

A woman in Hyderabad was nearly the victim of a cyber fraud involving a staggering Rs. 60 lakh, but thanks to the quick thinking of the victim and the TSCSB’s Cyber Crime Helpline, she was saved from losing her money.

The incident occurred on May 15th when the woman received a call from someone posing as a Maharashtra police officer. The caller accused her of money laundering and threatened her with a warrant. Fearful of the consequences, the woman was forced to stay on a Skype video call with the fraudster throughout the night.

Under immense pressure, the victim ultimately transferred Rs. 60 lakh to an account provided by the caller. However, soon after realizing it was a scam, she immediately contacted the TSCSB’s Cyber Crime Helpline in 1930.

The helpline staff wasted no time. They uploaded the transaction details to a specific portal (CFCFRMS) and alerted SBI Bank, where the stolen money was headed. This swift action resulted in a hold being placed on the entire Rs. 60 lakh within a single hour.

Authorities credited the successful recovery to the victim’s prompt reporting within the “golden hour” and the exceptional response by the helpline staff. The TSCSB Director, Shikha Goel, even commended and rewarded the team behind the 1930 call center, including SI G. Shirisha, constables T. Rehman, and B. Krishna, for their crucial role in saving the women’s money.

The task force found expired food items, improper storage practices, and hygiene concerns during their inspections on Wednesday.

Expired Food:

At 36 Downtown Brew Pub, expired food products like chicken, mushrooms, sauces, and seasonings worth ₹4,000 were discarded.
Makau Kitchen & Bar also had to throw away expired food items valued at ₹4,970.
Storage Issues:

Unlabeled, semi-prepared food items were found stored in refrigerators at 36 Downtown Brew Pub.
Hygiene Concerns:

Open, uncovered garbage bins were observed at 36 Downtown Brew Pub.
Food handlers at the pub lacked the required medical fitness certificates.
Cockroaches were spotted in the store area of Makau Kitchen & Bar.
Naturals Ice Cream was cited for improper labeling and failing to display their FSSAI license during the inspection.

Strict warnings were issued by the authorities, and follow-up inspections are expected to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
