Kothagudem: Make Strong Rooms for Voting Machines, Collector Tells Officials

Kothagudem: Dr. Priyanka Ala, the person in charge of our district, has told the election people to make sure they have safe places to store the voting machines for the Assembly elections.

She said that the first batch of voting machines would be ready by October 20 and sent out to all the places on October 21. They also need to put up security cameras and make the place really safe.

Dr. Ala had a video meeting with the people in charge of the election rules and other important officers. She told them to visit all the places where people will vote and make sure they have everything they need.

They should make sure there is clean water and electricity, and also things like toilets and ramps for people who have trouble moving around. They should not lie about these things, and Dr. Ala said that she saw some places that didn’t have these things when she went to visit.

They should also make a plan for how people and voting machines will get to the voting places in case of an emergency, and they should have a way to talk to each other.

If not many people are voting in a place, they should have some activities to teach people about voting, especially in places like factories and schools, she added.
