Siddipet: Inspiration for the Telangana Model of Development

Siddipet: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) has said that Siddipet, the constituency he represents, is the inspiration for the Telangana model of development.

Speaking at a public meeting in Siddipet on Tuesday, KCR said that the Telangana model of development is based on the principle of inclusive growth, with a focus on providing basic necessities such as water, electricity, and irrigation to all sections of society.

He said that the Siddipet drinking water scheme, which he initiated as Siddipet MLA, inspired the state government’s flagship Mission Bhagiratha programme. He also recalled the challenges he faced in digging borewells for farmers in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, which inspired him to initiate the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme.

KCR also said that the Dalit Bandhu programme, which provides financial assistance of Rs.10 lakh to each Dalit family, was inspired by an incident in Siddipet where he helped a Dalit woman purchase a bicycle for her son-in-law.

KCR said that he is proud to represent Siddipet and that he will continue to work for the development of the constituency and the state of Telangana.

Dalit Man Tied to a Cattle Feeder in Andhra Pradesh

A Dalit man was tied to a cattle feeder in Shet Palli of Kotapalli Mandal in Andhra Pradesh on Friday. The man, identified as Ramireddy, was caught in the field by a group of men. They tied him with ropes to the mattu (Pathigunja), which is used to tie cattle while they eat sticks.

The locals freed Ramireddy after they saw him tied in front of the house. They then took him to the police station, where he filed a complaint. The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.

This incident is a reminder of the discrimination that Dalits face in India. Dalits are often treated as second-class citizens and are subjected to violence and abuse. This incident is a wake-up call for the need to address caste discrimination in India.

The police have assured us that they will take action against the perpetrators of this crime. They have also urged the people to come forward and report any cases of caste discrimination.

This incident is a serious violation of human rights. It is important to remember that all people are equal, regardless of their caste. We must all work together to create a society where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
