Two Men Jailed for Women Harassment and Public Nuisance in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, 14 Dec: In separate incidents, local courts in Hyderabad handed down jail sentences to two men for harassing women and creating a public nuisance, marking a significant step towards ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.

In the first case, T. Ramu, a 27-year-old resident of Madhura Nagar, faced a three-day simple imprisonment for harassing a woman from his own neighborhood over the phone. The Madhura Nagar police promptly arrested Ramu, taking a firm stand against such unacceptable behavior.

The second incident involved Syed Murtaza, a 30-year-old resident of Nallagutta in Ramgopalpet, who was found creating a public nuisance under the influence of a psychotropic substance. Following complaints from local residents, the Ramgopalpet police took swift action, booking a case against Murtaza and subsequently arresting him. The court, acknowledging the severity of his actions, sentenced him to ten days of simple imprisonment.

These verdicts highlight the commitment of the local law enforcement agencies and the judiciary to address issues related to women’s safety and public order. Such stringent actions against individuals engaging in harassment and public nuisance send a clear message that the legal system is vigilant and responsive to the concerns of the community.

The Madhura Nagar and Ramgopalpet police, along with the judiciary, have emphasized the need for swift and decisive action against those who violate the law and infringe upon the rights of others. These measures aim to create a safer environment for all residents and deter potential wrongdoers.

As the legal system continues to play a crucial role in maintaining social order, it is hoped that such actions will serve as a deterrent, fostering a sense of security and well-being within the community. The importance of collective efforts to curb harassment and public nuisance cannot be overstated, and these recent convictions stand as a testament to the commitment of authorities to uphold justice and protect the rights of citizens.

KT Rama Rao to launch Rs 900 crore worth of development projects in Hanamkonda

Telangana IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao will launch Rs 900 crore worth of development projects in Hanamkonda on Friday.

The projects include a bus station modeled after the RTC bus station in Hyderabad, as well as other infrastructure projects.

MLAs Vinay Bhaskar, Challa Dharma Reddy and MLC Baswaraju Saraiah also held a press conference on Wednesday to announce the projects and criticize the BJP.

Vinay Bhaskar said that the BJP was doing petty politics and talking in a way that degrades people. He also said that while the BRS was worshipping Mahatma Gandhi, the BJP was worshipping Nathuram Godse, who assassinated Gandhi.

Vinay Bhaskar also said that the BRS had no business with the BJP and that the party did not have to join the NDA alliance. He challenged the BJP to fulfil the promises made to Telangana during the bifurcation of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh if the party loves the people of the State. Vinay Bhaskar also predicted that the BJP would not get deposits in the upcoming elections and that the party’s existing MLAs would also lose.

Baswaraj Saraiah said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s comments on Minister KT Rama Rao were not correct. He also said all the people of the country were looking towards Telangana.
