Hyderabad Builder Fined Rs 19.80 Lakh by TSRERA

Hyderabad: Builder Fined Rs 19.80 Lakh by TSRERA for Collecting Money Before Registration

The Telangana State Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TSRERA) has fined TMR Infra Tech Rs 19.80 lakh for taking advance payments from buyers before registering their project, TMR Marvel Villas, with the authority.

Buyers of the villas in Macha Bollaram, near Alwal, complained that the builder failed to provide basic amenities and delayed the project. TSRERA ordered the builder to complete the pending work, including installing street lights, building a compound wall, and setting up a sewage treatment plant. The builder must also ensure proper water supply and drainage.

The authority has directed the company to finish all work before the project’s RERA registration expires in March 2025. The builder promised to complete the work by March 25, and TSRERA warned that failing to do so would lead to further action.

The fine was imposed because the builder collected payments from buyers between February and March 2018, while the necessary RERA registration was obtained only in October 2019. This was a violation of Section 3 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act.

The order was issued by TSRERA chairperson Dr. N. Satyanarayana and members K. Srinivasa Rao and Laxmi Narayana Jannu.

However, with increasing cases of Aadhaar misuse, securing your biometric data has become essential. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) offers a Biometric Lock feature that prevents unauthorized access to your fingerprints, iris scans, and facial data.

Blue Ghost: First Private Lander Safely on Moon

Blue Ghost Lands Safely on the Moon: A Historic Achievement

Firefly Aerospace, an American company based in Texas, has made history by successfully landing its Blue Ghost lunar lander on the moon. This marks the first time a private company has safely landed a spacecraft on the lunar surface without crashing or tipping over.

Blue Ghost was launched on January 15 from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida aboard a Falcon 9 rocket, owned by Elon Musk’s SpaceX. The lander, which is about 6.6 feet tall and 11 feet wide, carried 10 scientific and technological instruments from NASA. It landed within 328 feet of its designated spot on Sunday. Within 30 minutes of landing, it began sending pictures of the moon back to Earth.

NASA invested $101 million to send these instruments to the moon and an additional $44 million to manufacture them. Over the next 15 days, Blue Ghost will conduct various experiments, including measuring temperatures below the moon’s surface, collecting lunar dust, and testing a device designed to clean harmful dust from astronauts’ suits and equipment.

This mission is a major step forward for private space companies in the race for lunar exploration. Previously, other private companies attempted moon landings but failed due to technical issues. Firefly Aerospace’s success shows that private companies can play a crucial role in future space missions.

Another private lander, Athena, developed by Intuitive Machines, is set to land on the moon later this week within 100 miles of the moon’s south pole. This follows Intuitive Machines’ earlier attempt with the Odyssey lander in February last year, which unfortunately fell due to a technical problem.

With private companies like Firefly Aerospace and Intuitive Machines advancing space exploration, the dream of human settlement and travel on the moon is becoming more realistic. Blue Ghost’s successful landing is a significant milestone in this journey.

Telangana ACB Catches 23 Officials for Bribery

Telangana ACB Catches 23 Officials for Taking Bribes in February

The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) registered 17 cases against government officials for accepting bribes in February. Out of these, 15 were trap cases, and two were related to officials owning assets beyond their known income. A total of 23 people, including two outsourced employees, were arrested, and Rs. 7.60 lakh in cash was seized.

Many government officials, who are supposed to serve the public, have been caught taking bribes instead. Some people are forced to pay extra money to get their work done, leaving them frustrated. As a result, they are directly reporting corruption to ACB, leading to more officials getting caught.

Recently, an official from the electricity department in Gachibowli was caught accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000. Upon investigation, ACB found he owned land worth Rs. 4 crore in Shankarpalli, along with valuable properties, buildings, and gold in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy district, totaling about Rs. 100 crore.

The ACB has registered cases across multiple government departments, including Forest, Education, Revenue, Panchayat Raj, Electricity, and BC Welfare. In addition to cash seizures, properties worth Rs. 4.13 crore have been identified in two asset-related cases.

The ACB urges people to report corrupt officials by calling the toll-free number 1064.

TGSRTC Karimnagar Hired Drivers Protest Over Breath Tests

Hired Bus Drivers Protest Against Breathalyser Tests in Karimnagar

Karimnagar: Hired bus drivers of TGSRTC staged a protest at the Karimnagar bus stand on Saturday, claiming they were being unfairly treated by the corporation officials.

The drivers said that even though they did not drink alcohol, breathalyzer tests showed high alcohol levels. However, when tested at traffic police stations, the results were zero.

They also mentioned that one of their colleagues, Suresh, was removed from duty six months ago due to a similar issue. They accused RTC officials of purposely harassing hired drivers and said they would meet the corporation’s MD, VC Sajjanar, to discuss the matter.

On Friday, Suresh tried to set himself on fire in front of Karimnagar Depot-1, frustrated over not being reinstated despite multiple requests. Security personnel stopped him in time by pouring water on him.

Suresh had lost his job in September 2024 after failing a breathalyzer test. Even though he repeatedly requested to return to work, officials did not allow it, pushing him to attempt suicide.

Telangana Ends Quota for Andhra Pradesh Students in State Colleges

Hyderabad: Starting next academic year, Andhra Pradesh students will no longer have a reserved quota in Telangana colleges for professional courses like engineering.

The Telangana government has issued an order ensuring that 85% of seats in professional programs are reserved for Telangana locals. The remaining 15% will be open to all, but Telangana locals can also compete for these seats.

Students who have lived in Telangana for 10 years (excluding study periods outside the state) or whose parents meet this residency requirement can apply under the unreserved category. Children and spouses of government employees working in Telangana are also eligible for these seats.

This change follows the end of the 10-year common admission policy between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, which was mandated under the AP Reorganisation Act of 2014. Previously, both states allowed students from either region to compete for 15% of available seats.

Now, with this policy shift, Telangana is prioritizing its own students for higher education opportunities.

Shocking Attempted Murder Case in Warangal

A shocking case has emerged in Warangal, where a government lecturer and a police constable were involved in the attempted murder of a young doctor. The crime, driven by an extramarital affair, has left the community stunned.

The Crime

On February 20th, Dr. Sumanth Reddy was brutally attacked on the Battupally bypass road while driving alone. A group of assailants chased his car, stopped him, and assaulted him with iron rods before fleeing. Locals alerted the police, who rushed Dr. Reddy to a hospital in Hyderabad, where he is currently fighting for his life.

The Shocking Truth

Investigations revealed that the attack was orchestrated by Dr. Reddy’s wife, Flora Maria, a government college lecturer. She had an affair with her gym trainer, Samuel, and when her husband confronted her, she pressured him for a divorce. When he refused, she planned his murder.

Flora Maria paid Samuel ₹1 lakh to execute the crime. Samuel then enlisted AR Head Constable Raj Kumar for assistance, promising him financial rewards. The constable took leave from work to help carry out the attack.

Police Investigation and Arrests

Using advanced technology, the police identified and arrested the three main accused:

  • Flora Maria – The mastermind, a government lecturer.
  • Samuel – The lover and gym trainer who carried out the attack.
  • Raj Kumar – The police constable who assisted in the crime.

The case has shocked the city, as those expected to uphold values—an educator and a law enforcer—were involved in a heinous crime. The accused have been sent to jail, and further investigations are underway.

The public demands strict punishment for the perpetrators to ensure justice for Dr. Sumanth Reddy.

Telangana CI Bribery Audio, Video Goes Viral

Telangana: An audio and video allegedly showing a police officer from the Huzurabad division accepting a ₹3 lakh bribe have gone viral on social media, sparking controversy in Karimnagar.

The recordings suggest that the Circle Inspector (CI) accepted the bribe to prevent the registration of a case under the SC/ST Atrocities Act. However, the person in the audio questions why the case was still filed despite the payment.

The caller alleges that they placed the money in the CI’s office washroom, as instructed, and secretly recorded the incident using a pen camera. The caller confronts the officer in the audio, saying, “How could you register an SC/ST atrocity case even after taking ₹3 lakh?”

Local MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy has reacted to the viral footage, announcing plans to file complaints with the Director General of Police (DGP), Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General, and Inspector General (IG) against the CI, identified as Ravi.

Reddy criticized the police for engaging in corruption while in uniform, alleging irregularities in both the Jammikunta Circle Office and the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) office. He called for strict action against the accused officer.

So far, no official response has been issued by the police, and the authenticity of the recordings has not been independently verified.
