Hyderabad has surpassed Bangalore in terms of Global Capability Centre (GCCs) establishments in the first half of 2023, with more than 40 global companies setting up or expanding their Acceleration Centres, Centres of Excellence (CoEs), Centres of Innovation and R&D Centres in the city.

This trend is also reflected in the growth of technology jobs in Hyderabad, which now accounts for 44% of all technology jobs in India, up from 33% in 2021-22.

Hyderabad’s success is attributed to its high-quality talent pool, state-of-the-art infrastructure, strong government support, and affordable lifestyle.

The city is home to globally-recognized educational institutions such as ISB, IIIT, and BITS Pilani, which produce a large number of skilled graduates each year. Hyderabad also has a strong startup culture, with a number of successful companies emerging from the city in recent years.

The Telangana government has also played a key role in promoting Hyderabad as a global IT hub. It has implemented a number of initiatives to improve the city’s infrastructure and business environment, including the construction of new IT parks and the launch of a single-window clearance system for businesses.

In contrast to Bangalore’s high cost of living and notorious traffic congestion, Hyderabad offers a more affordable lifestyle without compromising quality.

Hyderabad’s rise as a global IT powerhouse is a testament to its strong fundamentals and the commitment of its government and people to growth and development.
