Tragedy at Jalpally Lake: Two Teenagers Drown

Two teenagers lost their lives in a drowning incident at Jalpally lake on Sunday. The victims, identified as Abdul Wahab (17) and Nahadi (19), were part of a five-member group who had gone to the lake for fishing.

According to police reports, Wahab and Nahadi ventured into the water and drowned. Tragically, none of the teenagers knew how to swim.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the GHMC Disaster Response Force (DRF) and the State DRF teams promptly reached the site and initiated search and rescue operations to locate the bodies.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of swimming in unsupervised and potentially risky areas. It’s crucial to be aware of your limitations and prioritize safety when around bodies of water.

Warangal: Holi Joy Turns Tragedy

Holi Celebrations in Warangal End in Tragedy

Four people, including a 10-year-old boy, lost their lives in separate incidents on Monday while celebrating Holi or during the festivities’ aftermath in the erstwhile Warangal district.

Drowning Incident: A 10-year-old boy, Abburi Rithwik Reddy, from Ramannagudem village, went to Ganesh Lake to wash away colors after Holi celebrations. Tragically, he slipped and fell into the water. His friends, fearing for their safety, ran for help from the village. By the time help arrived, Rithwik had drowned. The police recovered his body and sent it for autopsy.

Motorcycle Accident: Two young men, Ummadi Umesh (22) and Ambadi Shrushanth (22), were on their way home after Holi celebrations when their motorcycle collided with a tree in Lakshmipuram village. They were declared dead at the scene.

Road Collision: Another motorcycle accident claimed the life of 30-year-old Botla Ramesh. He was traveling home from Holi festivities in Chelpur village when his bike collided with another vehicle. Ramesh died on impact.

Tragedy Strikes in Guduru Mandal as 3-Year-Old Boy drowns

A 3-year-old boy drowned in a water tank in Guduru mandal of Mahabubabad district on Wednesday afternoon. The child, Vedandhi, was the son of Vankudot Suresh of Calcutta Tanda.

 

According to reports, Vedandhi was playing with other children near his home when he drowned 32/100 and fell into the water tank. His parents, who were nearby, rushed to save him, but it was too late. Vedandhi was found floating lifeless in the water.

 

The child’s death has sent shockwaves through the village. His parents are inconsolable, and the other children who witnessed the tragedy are traumatized.

 

This incident is a reminder of the dangers of water tanks, especially for young children. Parents should always supervise their children when they are playing near water bodies.
