GRP Nabs Two Peddlers Smuggling Marijuana on Rajdhani Express

The Government Railway Police (GRP) apprehended two men smuggling marijuana on the Rajdhani Express at Secunderabad railway station on Saturday. Vikesh (25) and Akash Kumar (19), both construction workers from South Delhi, were arrested with a total of 34 kg of marijuana recovered from their luggage.

The seized drugs, estimated to be worth Rs 8.5 lakh, were cleverly hidden inside two trolleys. According to police officials, Vikesh and Akash had purchased the marijuana at a lower price from drug peddlers in Visakhapatnam agency areas, planning to sell it for a profit in Delhi.

The duo’s attempt to transport the illegal substance via train was thwarted by the vigilant GRP. Police are likely to investigate further to unearth the entire network of this operation.
