Sangareddy Network Quality Drive Test by TRAI
TRAI Conducts Mobile Network Quality Tests in Sangareddy and Nearby Areas
Sangareddy, Telangana, Nov. 24, 2025:
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released the results of its latest Independent Drive Test (IDT) conducted across Sangareddy city and surrounding areas in Telangana. The tests were carried out between October 7 and October 9, 2025, under the supervision of TRAI’s Regional Office in Hyderabad.
The purpose of the drive test was to check how mobile networks are performing in real-world conditions across different locations such as urban zones, institutions, rural residential pockets, and hotspot areas.
Where the Tests Were Conducted
TRAI teams covered 355 km in Sangareddy city and tested five major hotspot locations, including:
Gajwel Bus Stand
Government Hospital, Narsapur
Medak Bus Stand
Sangareddy Bus Stand
Siddipet Collector Office
The assessment also included nearby areas like Gajwel, Kuknurpalle, Duddeda, Siddipet, Ramayapet, Papannapet, Sangupet, Kandi, Zaheerabad, Patancheruvu, Narsapur, Thunki, Kulcharam, and more.
Technologies and Parameters Checked
The tests covered 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks and measured both voice and data performance.
Voice service parameters included:
Call Setup Success Rate (CSSR)
Drop Call Rate (DCR)
Call Setup Time
Call Silence Rate
Speech Quality (MOS)
Network coverage
Data service parameters included:
Download and upload speeds
Latency and jitter
Packet drop rate
Video streaming delay
Key Findings
In the test zone covering Hyderabad–Nizamabad NH and surrounding areas, TRAI reported the following Call Setup Success Rates for major operators in auto mode (2G/3G/4G/5G):
Airtel: 100%
BSNL: 88.82%
Reliance Jio (RJIL): 100%
Vodafone Idea (VIL): 89.16%
Drop Call Rates were recorded as:
Airtel: 0%
BSNL: 6.29%
RJIL: 0%
VIL: 0%
TRAI has shared the detailed findings with all telecom service providers for further action.
