Hyderabad customer finds cockroach in biryani, seeks action against restaurant

A Hyderabad customer has alleged that he found a cockroach in biryani ordered from a restaurant in the city. He shared a photograph of the cockroach on his social media handle and requested the authorities to inspect the restaurant’s kitchen conditions.

The Assistant Food Controller GHMC responded to the complaint and said that the restaurant had been temporarily closed due to other issues and that an audit could not be conducted as of now.
It is unclear whether the restaurant was not following hygiene standards, as the audit could not be conducted.
