Hyderabad Police Crack Down on Cricket Betting, Arrest Three
In a swift operation, Hyderabad police apprehended three individuals for running an illegal online cricket betting racket. The arrests took place on Tuesday based on a tip-off received by the authorities.
The accused, identified as B Uday Simha Reddy (40), Md Faheemuddin (27), and M Bhanu Prasad (29), all residents of Dilsukhnagar, were allegedly accepting bets for the ongoing Legends Cricket Trophy 2024. Police seized ₹1.5 lakh in cash, two laptops, and five mobile phones believed to be connected to their illegal activities.
This raid highlights the ongoing efforts of the Hyderabad police to curb illegal gambling activities within the city.
