Crocodile Rescued from Stagnant Pool in Hanamkonda

A crocodile was rescued from a pool of stagnant water in Hanamkonda, Telangana, on Friday. The crocodile was spotted by locals near a residential area, and the Forest department was immediately alerted.

A team of forest staff and veterinary experts rushed to the site and rescued the crocodile after a nearly three-hour operation. The crocodile was then shifted to a forest area and released into Pakal Lake, about 50 km from Warangal.

Forest officials are still unsure how the crocodile ended up in the pool of stagnant water, but they believe it may have strayed from a nearby water body. Residents of a colony near the Kakatiya Zoo Park have also claimed to have spotted a crocodile in a pond in the Padmakashigutta area in the past, but the crocodile could not be traced.

The residents of Hanamkonda have expressed their gratitude to the forest staff for rescuing the crocodile and releasing it back into its natural habitat.
