BRS Confident of Victory in Telangana Elections

Suryapet, Oct 19 (IANS): Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy, who is also the BRS candidate for Suryapet assembly constituency, on Thursday said that no political party can stop the victory of BRS in the upcoming Telangana state legislative assembly elections.

Speaking at a media conference here, Jagadish Reddy said that the BRS will create a hat-trick by winning the elections for the third consecutive time. He said that the people of Telangana are not ready to believe the Congress party, which cheated the people after coming to power in Karnataka state.

Reacting to comments made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi against the BRS government, Jagadish Reddy said that Rahul Gandhi has no moral right to talk about dynasty politics. He said that Rahul Gandhi’s family is dominating AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, who was elected to the party post in a democratic way.

Stating that the money spent for Kaleshwaram project was Rs 62,000 crore, he questioned how Rahul Gandhi could allege a corruption of Rs 1 lakh crore in the project. He said that the Congress party is known for corruption and family rule. He added that the yatras of Congress leaders will not stop the victory of BRS in the upcoming elections.

Rajya Sabha member Badugula Lingaiah yadav was also present at the media conference.
