Commerce Remains the Most Popular Stream in DOST Second Phase Seat Allotment

Over 41,000 Students Secured Seats

The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has announced the results of the second phase seat allotment for DOST 2024. A total of 41,533 students were allotted seats in various degree courses, with 7,039 students improving upon their seat allocation compared to the first phase.

Commerce Stream Dominates

Commerce remained the most sought-after stream, with 14,012 students receiving seats. Physical Sciences and Life Sciences followed closely behind with 9,727 and 8,791 seats allotted respectively.

Online Self-Reporting and Third Phase Schedule

Students who secured seats in the second phase must confirm their admission through online self-reporting on the DOST portal between June 19 and 26. A fee of Rs 500 or Rs 1000 (depending on the category) needs to be paid during this process. Failure to do so will result in the seat cancellation.

The registration window for the third phase of admissions will be open from June 19 to July 2. Students can submit their web options from June 19 to July 3. The allotted seats for the third phase will be declared on July 6.
