Mechanic Filling Car with LPG Sparks Fire, Destroying Nine Vehicles in Sangareddy
A fire erupted in Narayankhed town, Sangareddy, on Wednesday, destroying nine cars parked in a garage. The incident, which resulted in an estimated loss of Rs. 30 lakh, is reportedly linked to improper LPG filling practices.
According to the police, the fire began while mechanic Moin Khan was filling LPG gas into a car’s fuel tank. The cause of the ignition is still under investigation. The fire quickly spread to nearby LPG cylinders stored inside the garage, triggering a series of explosions that engulfed the surrounding vehicles.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the incident. However, the fire caused panic among students at the nearby Kakatiya School, located close to the car shed.
Following the incident, authorities have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the fire. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of adhering to safety protocols when handling flammable materials like LPG.
