Tragedy Strikes: Two Pilots Killed in IAF Trainer Aircraft Crash
Hyderabad: Two pilots were killed in an IAF trainer aircraft crash in Toopran, Telangana, on Monday morning. The aircraft, a Pilatus PC 7 Mk II, was on a routine training sortie from the Air Force Academy, Hyderabad, when it crashed.
The IAF has confirmed that both the pilots on board sustained fatal injuries. There was no damage to any civil life or property in the accident.
A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident.
Eyewitness Accounts
Eyewitnesses said that they saw the aircraft flying low and heard a loud explosion before it crashed.
“I was working in my field when I heard a loud explosion,” said one eyewitness. “I looked up and saw the aircraft spinning out of control before it crashed into the ground.”
Another eyewitness said that the aircraft was on fire before it crashed.

IAF Statement
The IAF has issued a statement expressing its condolences to the families of the deceased pilots. The statement also said that the IAF is taking all steps to prevent such accidents in the future.
Investigation Underway
The Court of Inquiry will investigate the cause of the accident. The investigation will look into the aircraft’s maintenance records, the pilots’ training records, and the weather conditions at the time of the accident.
The IAF has said that it will cooperate fully with the investigation.
