TPCC Panel Brings Peace Between Konda Murali and Warangal Leaders
Hyderabad: The Telangana Congress’ Disciplinary Action Committee (DAC) seems to have settled differences between senior leader Konda Murali and party leaders from the combined Warangal district. However, the panel stayed away from addressing MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy’s recent criticism of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy over what he called “selective enforcement of discipline.”
DAC chairman and MP Mallu Ravi told reporters at Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday that no formal complaint had been received about Rajagopal’s remarks. “The issue involving Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy hasn’t come to our notice. Once it does, we will examine it,” he said. This was different from TPCC president B Mahesh Kumar Goud’s statement a day earlier, where he said the DAC would review Rajagopal’s comments.
On Sunday, Murali — husband of state Environment and Forest Minister Konda Surekha — appeared before the DAC, pledged loyalty to the party leadership, and expressed hope that internal issues would be resolved soon. He stressed that unity was crucial ahead of the upcoming polls.
The DAC also looked into remarks by Jadcherla MLA J Anirudh Reddy, who had alleged the presence of “coverts” within the Congress. He reportedly submitted a written clarification explaining his statement.
Mallu Ravi said Murali and Warangal leaders had agreed to work together in coordination. The DAC’s resolution will be forwarded to TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud and AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan.

BRS Leader Raises Alarm Over Telangana Finances
Meanwhile, BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan warned about a “red alert” in the state’s finances due to low tax collections in the first quarter of the current financial year. Quoting Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) data, he said the state’s own revenue stood at only 16.2% of the annual target, while non-tax revenue was at a meagre 3.37%. Borrowings, on the other hand, had already touched 37.5% of the yearly limit.
Sravan called this a sign of poor governance and administrative failure, blaming Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for focusing on political rivalries with former CM KCR instead of creating jobs, investments, and growth. He said this approach was pushing Telangana backwards and betraying people’s trust.
