Three Sub-Registrars Suspended for Irregularities in Land Registrations
Ongole, Andhra Pradesh: In a stern action against errant officials, three sub-registrars in Ongole have been suspended for violating rules and regulations while registering land transactions. The suspended officials are Ramakrishna, Ramana Kumar, and Gnanasundar, who were serving as sub-registrars in Ongole and Yerragondapalem sub-registrar offices respectively.
The suspension orders were issued by the state government on Friday, following allegations that the three sub-registrars had registered landholdings in Markapuram, violating established norms and procedures. These irregularities have raised concerns about the integrity of land registrations in the region.
The government has initiated a thorough investigation into the matter to determine the extent of the violations and identify any other individuals involved. The investigation will also explore possible loopholes in the existing land registration system that may have facilitated these irregularities.
The suspension of these sub-registrars serves as a strong message to other officials that adherence to rules and regulations is paramount in safeguarding the transparency and integrity of land registrations. The government’s decisive action in this case will help restore public confidence in the land registration process and prevent similar irregularities from occurring in the future.
