Nizamabad Police Seize Rs 63.40 Lakh Hawala Cash in Major Bust

Nizamabad: On Wednesday, October 18, 2023, the Task Force police in Nizamabad, India, busted a hawala racket and seized Rs 63.40 lakh from three persons. According to ACP Kiran Kumar, the Task Force personnel raided a house based on reliable information and seized the cash. The currency bundles, all of Rs 500 denomination, were hidden inside a locker in the house. The police registered a case and investigation is underway.

A 25-year-old woman from Puducherry was found dead under suspicious circumstances at an OYO room in Madhapur, Hyderabad on Wednesday. The woman, identified as Sarvana Priya, worked at a private company in Madhapur.

On Tuesday evening, Priya met her friend, Srihari Ramesh, a businessman from Chennai, at the Golden Hive OYO in Madhapur. They reportedly consumed liquor in the room. Ramesh started vomiting around midnight and went to a local hospital where he was admitted. He returned to the room around 1.30 pm on Wednesday and found Priya dead.

Priya had called up the hotel staff in the morning to extend their stay and ordered food through a food delivery app around 11 am. However, she did not respond to calls from the receptionist later.
