Mancherial Intermediate Student Dies by Suicide After Being Forced to Study

Mancherial: An 18-year-old student, Ponnam Tharun Goud, died by suicide in Dandepalli mandal on Monday night. He was reportedly unhappy about being forced to continue his studies, despite wanting to start a business instead.

According to the police, Tharun hanged himself at his home around 9 p.m. while he was alone. His parents found him dead when they went to call him for dinner.

Tharun’s father, Chandra Goud, told the police that his son was not interested in academics and had dreams of running a business. However, he was enrolled in an intermediate college in Hyderabad, which made him upset. He often argued with his mother and seemed unhappy with his current situation.

The police have registered a case based on the complaint and are investigating the incident.
