Rahul Gandhi says Telangana government is giving Rs.2500 to every woman

Rahul Gandhi, a member of Congress, claimed that the Telangana government was depositing Rs.2500 every month into the bank accounts of women, which turned out to be false.

Speaking at a public gathering, he mentioned that besides providing free power and bus travel for women, the Telangana government was also depositing Rs.30,000 annually into the bank accounts of women. He promised that if Congress came to power in New Delhi, they would extend this scheme nationwide by giving Rs.1 lakh to each woman annually.

Gandhi criticized the BJP government for increasing unemployment and proposed a job guarantee scheme where graduates and diploma holders would be offered one-year jobs with a monthly honorarium of Rs.8500. He assured that after a satisfactory performance, these jobs would become permanent.
