KTR Blames Congress Govt for Gurukul Student’s Suicide

Hyderabad: BRS leader KT Rama Rao expressed deep sorrow over the death of Varshita, a 10th class student of the Government Gurukul School in Vangara. He called the incident heartbreaking and a sign of the Congress government’s negligence.

Varshita, a bright student and school captain who was recently honored by the District Collector, reportedly died by suicide in her hostel. Just an hour before, she had called her parents to complain about harassment from the principal and vice principal. She had also accused them of misusing school supplies.

KTR criticized the Congress government, saying Gurukul schools that once performed well have collapsed in the last two years. He claimed that more than 100 students have died in Gurukul institutions during this period, blaming the government for its lack of empathy and accountability.
