IndiGo Flight from Chennai Lands Safely After Receiving Bomb Threat
An IndiGo flight traveling from Chennai to Mumbai was forced to take precautionary measures after a bomb threat was received. The plane landed safely in Mumbai, where it was isolated for security checks before being cleared and returning to the terminal.
Thankfully, all passengers disembarked safely following standard protocol. IndiGo Airlines confirmed the incident and their cooperation with security agencies in a statement.
This incident comes after a separate bomb threat email targeted the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) headquarters in Mumbai on Tuesday. Thankfully, a thorough search by police revealed no suspicious items. Security measures have been increased at the airport in response to both threats.
