Hyderabad Food Poisoning: 45 Sick After Mandi Meal
HYDERABAD, INDIA – A worrying food poisoning incident has left several individuals hospitalized in Hyderabad. Approximately 45 people, including 12 from a single family, experienced nausea, vomiting, and other health issues after consuming mandi, a traditional rice dish, from an eatery located on Mir Alam Mandi road on Thursday evening.
The affected individuals, including children, are currently receiving medical attention at various hospitals across the city. “Since Friday, people have been admitted to different hospitals and are undergoing treatment,” stated Ashraf, a relative of one of the affected individuals.
Upon receiving complaints, police authorities initiated inquiries and alerted Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials. The eatery’s operations have been temporarily suspended, and food samples have been collected for further examination.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of food safety and hygiene practices. Consumers are advised to exercise caution when selecting eateries and to be vigilant about the cleanliness of the establishment and the quality of the food served.
