GATE 2025 Results Announced: How to Check Your Score

The Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT-R) has declared the results for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025. Students can check their results on the official website gate2025.iitr.ac.in by entering their roll number, date of birth, and Captcha code.

The GATE 2025 scorecard will show:

Marks obtained in each section
Overall score
All India Rank (AIR)

Only students who meet the cut-off will receive their scorecard. The exam was conducted between February 1 and 16 for 30 different subjects.

How GATE Cut-offs Are Decided

The cut-off marks depend on factors such as:

Number of students taking the exam
Availability of seats in institutes
Previous years’ trends
Exam difficulty level

Institutes Accepting GATE Scores

Several prestigious institutes accept GATE scores for admission, including:

IISc Bangalore
IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee

Some foreign universities also accept GATE scores in place of GRE, such as universities in Singapore and Germany.

Last year, GATE 2024 saw a 23% increase in enrollment compared to 2023. Around 6.70 lakh students registered, and 5.17 lakh appeared for the exam at 500+ centers across India. The AIR 1 in 2024 was Raja Majhi from West Bengal.
