Fake SBI Insurance Website Found Redirecting Users to Pirated Movies

A fake website using the name ‘SBI Term Insurance’ has been found redirecting people to pirated movie links. After State Bank of India (SBI) noticed the misuse of its name, the Cybercrime police started investigating the case.

The website sbiterminsurance.com recently appeared online. When users clicked on the section titled “Term Insurance Lapse and Revival Guide”, they were taken to pages where pirated movies were available for viewing.

Some SBI customers reported the issue to officials, who were shocked to see the bank’s name being used for illegal online activity.

Based on a complaint from SBI, Cybercrime police are now working to identify the people behind the fake website and its unlawful content.
