BRS President KCR Formally Enters Telangana Assembly After Surgery
Telangana: Recovering from a recent hip surgery, BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) was sworn in as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) today.
KCR, who won the Gajwel constituency in the December assembly elections, couldn’t participate in the initial oath-taking ceremony due to his medical condition. Today, Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar administered the oath in the presence of party leaders, including Harish Rao.
This formalizes KCR’s role as Leader of the Opposition for the upcoming budget session. Notably, he was already unanimously elected to lead the BRS Legislative Party (BRSLP). BRS legislators and leaders warmly welcomed KCR back to the Assembly, marking his official return to state politics.
