Three people were burnt to death in a tragic road accident involving a private bus in Nandyal district late Wednesday night (January 21, 2026).
The private bus was travelling from Nellore to Hyderabad with around 36 passengers on board. When it reached Sirivella Meta on the Allagadda–Nandyal National Highway, one of the bus tyres burst, causing the driver to lose control. The bus crossed the road divider and crashed into a lorry coming from the opposite direction.
Due to the strong impact, the bus caught fire, and the flames quickly spread to the lorry as well. The drivers of both vehicles and the lorry cleaner were trapped in the fire and died on the spot.
