24 People Arrested In MP Cow Slaughter Case

Police have arrested 24 people for killing over 60 cows and oxen in Seoni district, Madhya Pradesh. They say the suspects, including eight from Nagpur, planned the killings to stir up communal tensions.

The animals, with their throats slit, were found in different places including a river and a forest area in late June. Authorities believe locals were also involved for money.

After the discovery, Seoni’s collector and police chief were removed from their posts.
