Similar to the incident reported earlier where two jawans were injured in an IED blast, another event unfolded today in Chhattisgarh. This time, two personnel belonging to the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) sustained injuries in a Naxalite IED explosion.

The incident occurred on Friday around 6:30 am in the Narayanpur district. The blast took place near Kutul village under the Kotemetta police station area during an area domination operation carried out by a team from the ITBP’s 53rd battalion.

Police reports indicate that the two ITBP personnel encountered the IED, resulting in a detonation. Fortunately, the blast only caused minor splinter injuries. The injured jawans were promptly taken to a nearby hospital and are reportedly out of danger.

Security forces have launched a search operation in the area following the incident.
