Two arrested for cheating in UoH recruitment exam using AI

Hyderabad: Two candidates were arrested at the University of Hyderabad for allegedly using artificial intelligence (AI) and hidden Bluetooth devices to cheat in a recruitment exam for the post of Junior Office Assistant.

The incident came to light when an invigilator heard a repeated beeping sound inside the exam hall. On checking one of the candidates, Anil (30), a native of Haryana, officials found a concealed Bluetooth device. A tiny scanner hidden in his shirt button was reportedly used to scan the question paper and send it to an AI tool, which then returned answers through the Bluetooth device.

Following this, university officials checked other candidates in the hall and found another examinee, Satish (31), also from Haryana, carrying a similar scanner.
