Toyota Recalls 590K Cars Over Display Panel Fault

Toyota Recalls 590,000 Vehicles Over Display Panel Issue
Toyota has announced a recall of more than 590,000 vehicles due to a major safety concern.
The recall affects some models of Toyota Crown, RAV4, GR Corolla, 4Runner, Camry, and Highlander. It also includes certain Lexus LS, RX, and TX models. The exact model years will be confirmed once the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) publishes the official recall notice.
Reason for Recall
The issue is with the 12.3-inch display panel, which may fail to turn on when the car starts. If the screen goes blank, drivers won’t be able to see important warning signals. This could increase the chances of an accident or cause more harm during a crash.
What Owners Should Do
- Toyota will start mailing notices to affected owners by mid-November.
- Until then, owners can take their vehicles to local Toyota or Lexus dealers. Dealers will inspect and repair or update the display panel for free.
- For questions, customers can call the Toyota Brand Engagement Center at 1-800-331-4331.
