Telangana to fill thousands of healthcare positions
The Telangana government announced a two-pronged approach to address staffing shortages in the health department.
Permanent recruitment: Over 5,348 vacancies across various healthcare positions will be filled through direct recruitment. The Telangana State Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board will handle this process, gathering details and issuing a recruitment notification soon.
Contractual staffing for medical colleges: To address immediate staffing needs in government medical colleges for upcoming inspections by the National Medical Commission (NMC), the department will recruit 4,356 positions on a contract basis for one year.
This dual approach aims to bolster healthcare staffing in Telangana, both in the short and long term.
