Telangana Governor, Union Minister Offer Prayers at Medaram Jathara

Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda joined thousands of devotees at the ongoing Medaram Jathara, a mega tribal festival in Telangana, on Friday.

Arjun Munda, speaking after offering prayers, called the Jathara, celebrated in the forest areas of Medaram bordering Chhattisgarh, “the biggest festival of Adivasis.” This biannual event draws large crowds from across the country, particularly Adivasi communities.

“I am happy to be here for the second time,” Munda said, greeting devotees and choosing Hindi to reach a wider Adivasi audience. He expressed his delight at attending the festival alongside the Governor.
